Oh ok, we're talking real life now? I suppose that avatar of a tiger in a vest is an actual picture of you then? I could've sworn we were discussing a video game. My mistake.

Weak....

Since there are fantasy games special items have special names. It's as integral a part as the looting. To turn a popular defender argument around, this isn't the real world.

the game was rushed i agree yes for money if you had a company you would do the same most probably but not only that everyone was pushing for a dragon age 2 you got one now your complaining you cant have it always.also the battle system isnt crap if you want the boring hit to left 2 seconds later hit too the right kind of combat fair enough but i personally prefer the more realistic hacking and slashing...and yes that tiger is me... obviously who else could it be

The op reeks of Bioware in disguise. At any rate, I enjoyed the game for what it was. If you can completely forget about Origins, and just play it as a stand alone game, it's much easier to find enjoyment. That's not the way it should be though. They chose to call this a sequel to a game that raised the bar in so many areas, and didn't even come close to reaching the standard they created for themselves. Had they called the game anything else, left out the vague references to the world of Thedas, and had not raised the kind of hype that they did, people wouldn't be as upset as they are. The game was obviously rushed and there's only one reason for that: Milk the cash cow with no regard to the loyal fans they created before they got greedy. Seriously Bioware, you couldn't even take the time to give most items actual names other than "ring" or "belt"?

Haha I think the reason they didn't give rings and belts any names is because diablo / WoW has © over all of them

TC says he/she hates one sided posters
Goes ahead and posts a one-sided post, albeit of a fanboy flavor instead of a hater.
Do you hate yourself TC?

hhaahaha. What are you twelve? Can you swing a 6kg weapon 2 swings a second, cover 10 feet in less than a second, ore perhaps teleport then reappear behind someone? Oh, so if you hit someone with a stick, they explode in a bloody balloon gibblet style?

Realistic? haha, thanks for the laugh

Its funny that the same people rehasing their 'hate' or 'betrayal' and 'disappointment' still think they're going to influence the decisions makers and overrule the silent majority.
Look in this topic and just about any anti topic on the forum and you see the same names over and over...honestly, at least make some clones and create some variety!

it's funny how it's always a "vocal minority" while the mass of people is still on the side of whatever fits people. maybe itis a silent majority who just put DA2 away and thought "well thats it"?
i mean i know, vgcharts is not reliable, pure fiction, they give ME2 for free because they totally don't care for the money and want just to throw their best selling game away, most of the reviews wich came after DA2 (and thus not having to keep good relationships to get early copies of other games too) were just negative because they are part of the vocal minority.

Realistic? More like Roger Rabbit on speed. I haven't seen real life sword combat, but I seriously doubt, a stab would result in explosive body parts evacuation. Truth is, this probably has been introduced to cut on the animation budget, since its one for all.

That feature is obviously in the eye of the beholder, but I find it totally revolting.

if you pay attention, its generally the same hate-mongering people posting over and over.

of course there are exceptions, but for the most part, i see the same names coming up over and over again.

how can you kill that which has no life?

Here is a pretty fun video of what a single swing should look at. http://www.coldsteel...andedgreat.html
Not the best example but I just thought of my greatsword when I saw that comment

Keep in my that Hawke sword (esp Hayden razor or whatever its called) is lot larger than cold steed 2hander.

OP , it was a poor choice to mention word "realism" and dragon age 2 together ^_^

No. Did I?

Because if I remember your name friend, then it means I've seen you a couple of times before. But hey, whatever makes you sleep at night.

I've done about $13.50 worth of hate thus far so I still have a ways to go.  Should finish up somewhere around July or August.

so im sure you have seen my name before.

it is kind of amusing that you think you have seen me defending this game in every thread or something though...
do you really spend that much time on a one-player game forum?

thats... pathetic, lol.

Uhm, chopped off heads in DAO?

That was kind of realistic. Also the heaviness of the blows. You might love or leave it, but saying the monkey jumps, gory explosions, coupled with twohanders being swung like toothpicks, are realistic, is a bit to the ludicrous side.
