if you plan on RPing your dwarf as you described I would chose the Berserker/Champion. Although keep in mind that you'll need to use 8 of your talent points to max out both lines. it's a long threat but it has tons of information taken from the CC. WARNING!!!!! THERE ARE SOME SPOILERS IN THE THREAD. http://daforums.biow...&forum=145&sp=0

I'll be playing as an evil dwarf commoner duel welding berserker/reaver. Now I just have to figure out how many points to spend in str/dex/con.

don't forget Wisdom.  from what i've read you need to raise wisdom quite a bit to really make use of the talents.

Charisma's a fine alternative with the right Talents.

basicly templar/champion is great for shield and sword tanking warior and berserker/reaver is great for dmg dealer 2h warior...not much sense to take berserker reaver with sword and shield warior.i mean maeby berserker/champion would be good combo aldo for tank templar/champion is better:).with my human noble i ll take templar/champion or berserker/champion for tank warior and for second i will take berserker/reaver crazy badass dwarf noble 2h warior:D

I disagree, a Templar/Reaver....outside of roleplaying though I can see a few "themes"...could make quite a potent tank since your not worrying about debuffs, become more powerful as your damaged and can feed off corpses mid combat for a hp top up. Granted we dont know what exactly is added, but I think it would be interesting with a reaver tank.

I'm just curious,  could you expand on your alternative of boosting Cunning over Wisdom?  I'm just not seeing it.  thanks.

Haha would love to see a templar dwarf.. Break the common stereotyping fantasy dwarf.. then again if dwarves make sturdy cities why not armor and shields?

Damn I wish there was dual classing.. T.T

technically speaking, the specialization could be seen as a mild form off dual classing. Yes I know, I'm picking nits :P

Actually, I think it may well be a good idea to stick with one specialization. Sure, get two if you can, and can justify it from a roleplaying standpoint (Templar/Champion would be a stylish combination), just for the inherent stat bonuses. But talent points are very limited. Warriors have 8 talents of their own, each combat style has 12, each specialization 4. You have to pick and choose which ones are really worth it for what you want to do, and which are not.

*grumble* I want more levels so I can get all those yummy talents!

From the looks of it, Reaver is the best tanking specialization. Frightening Appearance improves the ability of aggro talents, and comes with a chance to crowd control by causing fear. Not to mention that they increase in damage as they lose health, and they can regain health from the corpses around them. I could see a Reaver/Champion as the best kind of tank, while templar/berserker would be an absolute bane to any mage, able to combine Final Blow + Righteous Strike = 1 shot dead mage.

Still. For RP purposes, I'll be going with a Templar/Champion for my first character. I look forward to killing Morrigan for being an uppity witch.

Champion will be more defensive buffs and offensive debuffs.         awsome aoe
Berserker will be offensive.                                                                          who is not
Reaver will be offensive with a mix of bonuses for killing.       he's got mainly tanking abilities
Templar is for mage killing.                                                                         not just for
GO berserker/reaver for maximum damage output.     wrong templar, berserker(Finalblow+Righteous Strike)
*this is all guesses*

other factors Desired Role + function in the party +weapon, attribute style
Champion - veteran warrior and a confident leader
     > awsome aoe stun + MightyBlow/CriticalStrike + Stunning Blows .. Two-hand w, str
Berserker  -  terrifying adversary
     > worths just FinalBlow + Precise Striking .. but it is active so u cant perform other things .. Two-hand w, str
Templar  -  afraid of mages tries to suck their power, mainly an ****, but actualy hes got awsome powers(sorry guys i dont feel you sympathies)
     > Righteous Strike + Momentum...Flurry.. + HolySmite thing .. Dual-wield, str/dex
Reaver - driven by the pain and fear of their enemies he tries like Grey Wardens get a power from other creature by drinking a dragonblood vial.
     > Frightening Appearance + heal from corpses is awsome .. saves talents in early,,mid game (damage sux, only if you have adequate set up in tactics so you wont need to watch the healing of your machine)

Choose on the RP and the function you want to fill in party, i can give you just few things that worked for me
combos i suggest are:
   > main tanker(hard+) Templar,Reaver
   > dps,offtank Templar, Berserker(Final + Rigteous Strike + HolySmite) or Templar,SpiritWarrior,(Berserker)
