The full range and extend of the world of vocaloid … we as far I can find anyway. To those who don’t know, vocaloid are a series of program created by Yamaha a few years ago and now have go beyond the scale of a voice synthesis program. These “virtual” singers have actual recording CD and have one point or another even make it the top ten selling albums. Up until now there have been 3 “live” concerts hold, and by that I mean actual performance in real stadium with thousands of audience. (You’ll find a couple of clip about that here).

DISCLAIMER: this is in the spirit of music and technology appreciation, not a virtualism vs realism topic. It’s for fun and nothing else.

From Sebastian Bach: don’t watch the video of this one though, else you gonna feel weird: Fugue in G-minor
To Ludwig V. Beethoven: I guess your first reaction during the first 5 seconds of playing this is to turn it off, I know I almost did. But once you listen to it for a minutes you can’t stop. Synthesis or not it’s a really good vocal for an instrumental piece with a very good and creative arrangement. I found it … strangely addicting.Symphony_No_5_1st_movement_in_Miku-minor

To real space: I think this is the third live Vocaloid concert. The projection became much much better comparing to the first concert in 2009. Gotta love the audiences’ reaction :World_is_Mine
