Hey all. I actually don't need to stay on insanity, but...damn it...I've stayed on this so long, it's become sort of a red badge of courage for me. Gotta keep it. I doubt it will be recognized in my transfer to ME3 but you just never know, right? Anyway, I've had no real trouble until the waves coming at you at the Artifact Rho. Any tips? I am a sentinel. My special power is area reave. I went down when the heavy mech came out. (Those things are nasty on insanity) Usually it's no -real- problem, as I can find a good position to weather them down, but with all the others flanking me...problem. Anyway: what wave does the Mech come out? Just curious how close I was before going down. Thanks all, in advance. (Bah, want the achievement for lasting all the waves. Wasn't exactly clear on that. Sorry.)

Sentinel was my only 100% clean playthrough. You can make eventually
Assault Armor + Shotgun [weapon training] + liberal doses of Arc Projector. With this combo a pyro should never get close to you [arc projector should 1-shot them]. The heavy mech is your only worry. Keep your cooldowns for Assault Armor. Even if it pops the pulse should keep goons off of you long enough to get to cover and get your armor back up.
BTW: Using Stasis on the heavy mech can almost insure an auto kill.

Area Reave sentinal was my set up too. Ignore the YMIR and take out as many goons as possible when wave 5 begins. If you can clear (or almost clear) the room before the YMIR is on top of you you'll win. You were almost at the end, keep trying you'll get it.

I used the Cain on the mech. Took out shields, half it's armor, and most of the lackies.

Statis it first - then use the Cain as statis wears off fo
I have 200% Heavy Ammo, so if it somehow survive, I will statis it again and Cain it again
