Windows XP Professional Edition - SP3
------------------------------------------------------------
Just for background, I was a part of the BETA, and had a working toolset for months now. When the game came out, I focused solely on the campaign itself, and now that I have beaten it, I am attempting to install the new toolset (I had previously uninstalled the old toolset, so as to start from scratch).
At any rate, I am currently getting the following error during the part of the installation, when it attempts to start the SQL service for the Dragon Age DB:
"Could not access network location $"
Where "$" is some weird string full of boxes and other unrecognizable strings.
So, I went to the services menu, found "SQL Server (BWDATOOLSET)", and tried to start it manually. This of course failed, saying it could not find the path specified. I looked at the properties of the service, and found this path:
"E:/Program Files/Dragon Age/tools/sql/MSSQL.1/MSSQL/Binn/sqlservr.exe"
So yeah, I don't have that on my machine at all. All I have under "toolssql" is an empty "Data" folder. Is this what is screwing me up? Any ideas?
***Wonders why he even uninstalled a fully working toolset***
P.S. Just to be clear, I know of the general issue people have had with the toolset not starting because it can't find the DB. I've had it before myself a while back, but I do not think this is the issue at hand. I cannot even attempt to create it, or do a restore, if the service itself is not running.

Might as well bump this one time, before it falls into the toolset forum abyss forever... sigh...

Figured it out. Turns out, when I un-installed the toolset a few weeks ago, it didn't uninstall the Dragon Age DB service with it. So everytime I tried to install it again, when it was trying to create the DB, it was already seeing a service for it, and failed. For various reasons, I could not un-install it, even through the Add/Remove programs section. I ended up googling my issue, and came across some syntax to manually un-install it via the command prompt:
sc delete MSSQL$BWDATOOLSET
Once I did that, the service was no longer in the service list, and my installation was successful. Putting this on the WIKI right now.
Thanks to Fluffyamoeba for pointing me in the right direction.

Whenever I try to do that, my access is denied. Sad face
