Can this be done? I would love nothing more than being able to use the skill Evade and its upgraded form on warriors and mages. If anyone with knowledge or interest in this can let me know I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks.

This can already be done using the console commands, which you can find on the Dragon Age Wiki.

Any idea on how to get evade to work as a mage? I added scoundrel using the runscript commands...206000 and 206001, then used the dlc potion to reset my abilities, then added evade.
Whenever I try it, I make a move with my staff, but my guy doesn't flip backwards, and the stun doesn't work. It is as if he tries to do it, but fails.
Is there a way to fix this, or does evade just not work with a mage because of an animation issue?
Thanks!

I "think" this is another skill tied to weapon animations, in this case, daggers.

So I would need to be holding a dagger to get evade to work correctly? Oh well.

You can evade with a bow drawn, though.

Anyway to make it so you can trick evade into thinking I'm using a dagger/bow for that animation?

Anyone know?
I would much rather use evade then mind blast.

Have you tried console-ing the talent onto your character and using it with a staff equipped? I don't know for sure that the animation cares what weapons you use. Try it and see how it works.

As I said above in my earlier post, that is how I tried it, when I hit evade, it just swings my staff for about half a second, but nothing else happens.
It must be some issue with the mage animation not able to use evade, but I would assume there would be some way to trick it into working...but I wouldn't know where to begin

Any updates on being able to get the evade animation to work with a mage?
