Hi,
I am pursuing a relationship with Merrill and in order to avoid the bug at the beginning of act 3. So in order to keep the friendship in check I'd like to offer her the gift from act 2 in act 3 instead. Is that possible or not?

I haven't tried it but I seriosuly doubt that's the case, especially since "gifts" aren't really items in your inventory, they're just quests.

On my current playthrough, I didn't want to give Anders the Tevinter Chantry Amulet, so I completed Act Two hoping it would disappear, only to find that the dang Amulet quest is still present in Act Three. So I think that you may be able to hang onto those gifts.
