Right, I'll go buy a floppy disk drive for my computer then.Luke Barrett wrote...
In the spirit of it being April 1st we'll copy it to floppy disks and send the giant crate of them.
Please can you also get a wizard to magically appear here and read the information out to me too? Thanks.
Edit: Seriously though, sticky here & the announcements section would be preferable.

I'd pay money for that to happen. Not a lot of money, but if someone were to start taking up a collection, I'd pitch in.

I don't want to have to upgrade. Can you put it on punch cards?

Of course, it'll take him about 50,000 years to read out all those 0s and 1s. Even if he reads really fastBTCentral wrote...

Actually, assuming a patch size of 10MB, and a reading speed of 2 digits per second, and reading 24/7... it'd take him 1.33 years. So, totally worth it

EDIT: Well, okay, flipping the disk just increases the occurrence of dust tracking across (and possibly scratching) the diskette as it is shuffled from corner to corner. Hrmph.
Of course I think back to the days of multi-floppy installs, and I realize that more recently I had the original Baldur's Gate 5-CD set and the Baldur's Gate II 4-CD set. Almost as bad as installing Darklands from floppies (I probably had that one on 5.25").

You do know we're not talking about the patch, but about information regarding the patch, right? There won't be a patch today.AndyW1384 wrote...

You do realise you can still complete Merrill's romance even with the current issue right?Noelemahc wrote...
And that's terrible! I would've expected we'd have at least a hotfix for Merrill's questline by now, being the most borked up non-side-quest-related problem in the PC version.

Just like the use of the word "plot hole" very few people understand what "Game breaking bug" actaully means.

Yes I do. I also realize that we only get to see one of many resolutions of that quest and regardless of what you choose during the talk, even if you convince Merrill to keep the mirror, it will be GONE. Now I'm not an expert, but that would mean some quest flags are being incorrectly set and saved and there will be even MORE save import glitchery come DA3 than there is now. And yes, fixing all the umpteen ones there are now would be nice too, if only to make up for the continuity snarl that Anders is.You do realise you can still complete Merrill's romance even with the current issue right?
The fact that there are no showstopping game-incompletable bugs does not automagically mean that the ones that aren't don't detract from the experience.

I never said that it was not annoying, I was just pointing out it is not game breaking and that there are much more important issues for them to deal with firstNoelemahc wrote...

Though I believe someone from BioWare said it should be fixed in the next patch.
