I've picked DAO back up for the first time in over a year and am playing through with a DW Dagger/Dagger Cunning rogue and he's now level 18 and I've gotten the full core build completed and have made it three points into Duelist.    I'm now looking at my next level-up and wondering where to put my points, due to the bleed effect problem that I recall existing with DW Expert and I can't recall if the same problem exists with Lacerate in the Assassin tree.

Have these been fixed or do I just need to begin putting talent points in Archery tree?

I hadn't realized there was a bug to these skills, but here's a post I found that seems to answer your question (hopefully) (I know it's a year+ old, maybe it can still help? http://www.gamefaqs....rigins/53263807 ). Besides, you don't choose DW Expert just for its bonuses, but so you have access to Momentum. Though I doubt you're talking about choosing DW Expert, but instead Lacerate. You could always choose Lacerate to get Feast of the Fallen, though it's not like you should be ever really needing the Stamina regained from a kill, unless you've decided to build a talent-spamming Rogue. If you're 3 points into Duelist, why not just get the last skill of the tree (Pinpoint Strike) instead of branching into Archery, where you can't really choose many skills that are of much use (imo)?

I know it isn't helpful in anyway, but Ew, Dulist with a D/D Cun Rogue? /fail. Bard+Song of Courage ftw :)

So having though about your post for a couple hours (while trying to get Sophia's Shield ><; lol) I can see how not taking Lacerate would be an option, especially if it doesn't stack with Tainted Blade, which adds massive dmg (if one is building a CUN Rogue, as we are). The only other point would be, like I said in my previous post ( ^^* ), whether you're planning on taking Feast of the Fallen. I get the feeling that the Stamina gain it would give wouldn't be that substantial, and that with some of the equipment you soon get, you'd have enough Stamina regen without it.

Hope this is more helpful/insightful than my last post :)
