Her battle speech made me cringe, mostly for the voice acting.

Yes and her battle speech was rather cringe worthy mostly because of the voice actresses inability to sound epio when she is shouting however Alistair trumps her in that regard.

I look forward to trying to rule by her side, lol.

What are your thoughts on the Queen? Does she seem like a tyrant? Will she make a good ruler? Would she make a good partner on the throne? Does she seem like a **** or a decent person?
Shes to power hungry for my likeing
I think the writers thought this as well cause (in one of my endings) when I put her in power she squashed and killed the elves of the alienage later one when they spoke out!
Also I have a hard time trusting someone that lies at every turn to ensure she gets power and then refuses to accept a new ruler, not her, when she loses her bid.
As for a good partner, well she is VERY HEALTHY and has a good sized set of lungs on her so as a partner, I can definately see a upside to keeping her around (nudge nudge wink wink) heh.
Course, Lelianna is drop dead georgeous so if they not willing to share, Id have to pick Lelianna over Anora, truth be told!

Anora just seemed too power hungry for me. too much like her father. she is definitely her fathers daughter.

I can't say that I appreciated being betrayed the first time around as I never had any intention of making Alistiar king in the first place, but in the end I still can't help but admire her to a certain extent.

Well I still married her though in my first playthrough, since I "role played" a character who likes this kind of woman!^^

I also didn't blow her cover when meeting Ser Cauthrien so she didn't betray me then (and to be fair, she does warn you not to blow her cover because she doesn't want to be taken back to her father).
Overall, she seemed ambitious but still rather nice in that playthrough, and every NPC seemed to agree that she made a good queen.
I'll see how she seems in my second playthrough when I won't support her...

My greatest gripe with the game is probably that you can't kill her. Or drown her in the blood of her father. Or sell her in slavery to the Tevinter. Or release her, naked and unarmed, in the Deep Road, well behind the darkspawns lines.
Yeah, THAT would be good.

On a personal level, I don't really like her, simply because she's a meddlesome and snake:ish ****. But as a ruler, sure, she's got my vote. Administratory, she's more likely than not better than Alistair.

That he is her father has little to do with it, a competent ruler puts the good of the nation before family.
So in my opinion, she's the worst possible candidate to rule. Installed by marriage, accessory to tyranny. She has no place on the throne and preferably should be thrown into the Deep Roads with a sign saying "FREE BROODMOTHER" stapled to her back.
Not that I'm sadistic or anything..

[persuade/lie] She was killed by arl howe, as you well know. She never could accept what you did to Cailan could she, Loghain?
or something to that effect for the bad guys
probably would have made him attack then and there, and outright refuse becoming a grey warden, coulda been a nice outcome

Especially considering the very reason she holds her father is such a high regard was that he was supposed to think of his country first, and that her only argument for being named as ruler is that she pretends to be competent and efficient and placing the good of the nation above anything. That he is her father has little to do with it, a competent ruler puts the good of the nation before family.
So you can add "hypocrite" to the long list of her personnal flaws.
Amen, sister !So in my opinion, she's the worst possible candidate to rule. Installed by marriage, accessory to tyranny. She has no place on the throne and preferably should be thrown into the Deep Roads with a sign saying "FREE BROODMOTHER" stapled to her back.

She knows how to come out ahead, but she's not as insane about it as Bhelen and Loghain are.
Loghain, despite being completely wrong about everything, at least believed he was doing what was right.
In a twisted sense, Bhaelen *does* do what is right. He's a brutal SOB and a treacherous backstabber, sure. But in Dwarven politics that's how you survive. He is in the end good for Orzammar.
Anora? All she ever does is plot and scheme to maintain her cosy lot in life, she doesn't give a damn about the country or her responsibilities.
