implementation of auto-attack

I hope that is optional, Personally its not a feature I like having in console titles.
I agree 100%, I do hope that it is an option and not a constant. However, regardless of that I would like to say thank you to Bioware and relay how ecstatic I am to know this is on it's way!

Thank you for the information if you are able to tell will many of these fixes work on existing saves specifically the Isabella Thumbs Up speed bug?
Unless the patch resets everyones base attack speed to 100%,which I doubt it will, players who were affected are screwed.I'm guessing most of us will have to start over

I'd read elsewhere that it is a toggle option, which they didn't even want to include, but decided it was necessary to make the game disability friendly.

Can the bioware team give us an answer on this? i too was wondering whether the patch could work on existing game saved or do we need to start a new game?

Chris/Bioware, if we can't get the full contents of the patch at this time, can we at least get Bioware's -intent- on key bugs, like this one? Are you guys even -attempting- to fix corrupted saves? Thx.

A patch is very welcome, and I'm glad to hear it is at this stage, but I'm still quite frustrated that I bought a game for full retail price, and got a game breaking bug less than a week in. Its now three weeks from release date and my "full retail" game is sitting unplayable as the price drops and drops at retailers. I feel like some sort of refund or credit is deserved.
I highly doubt that would happen, for one thing I don't believe there is anyway to "prove" you had the game issues because apparently not everyone was affected by the problems, if they start handing back refunds and credits, everyone would say they had the issues, they wouldn't be able to tell who actually was affected...as far as i know, the only way is to bring your ps3 to them and have it run the game to show that it had issues.

instead of a refund for day one buyers I'd gladly appreciate some rewards to prize our patience and understanding.

Has the price really already gone down on new copies? The bugs must have been more widespread and gamebreaking than I'd imagined for a price drop to occur this soon.

No, you're right, there’s no way to tell who actually was affected or not. If they were going to do it, it'd have to be a gesture of good will towards the community as a whole, to show they care more about us than their profits.
One example I could think of is making the next DLC free to anyone who owned the game before the coming patch came out. Even if this means a few people who weren’t affected by the bugs in some way get something for free, it’d be a really good move on Bioware’s part.
Frankly, I'd held Bioware up on a pedestal as one of the best current game developers. They have consistently made some of the greatest masterpieces of video games in history, but recently my faith has been damaged a bit. It will take some work on their part, more than just releasing a patch, to fix it.

The price has dropped 10$ on Amazon and Bestbuy. Gamestop hasn't dropped their price yet. Amazon is also offering a full refund for open games up to 30 days from the purchase date (which expires soon) because of all the bugs.
Ten dollars isn’t very much, no, but it’s still the first month, and my game is currently worthless if I can’t play it.
