We essentially became Bioware's QA Team post release.
Just release the patch, and let us tell you if it has any bugs. Lol

Why not? Everyone else is cutting corners and costs these days. Makes sense BW would do it too lol

My only option now is to shelve the game until the patch is made available to the public.

I agree about the auto-attack. I think it should be a feature you can turn on, but I for one would rather not have auto-attack.
It is. Youll be able to toggle it on/off in your radial menu. (thats how it was supposed to be to begin with but a bug keeps it from apperaing atm)

Most likely seeing as how they said around 100 fixes will be implemented. I'm sure its safe to assume this is among them

Hey Bioware, there are allot of haters out there but I for one have loved almost every game of yours I have ever been lucky enough to play including DA2. I thought the gameplay, art style, story, characters, and direction of the series were all fantastic. I suffered from the slow mo glitch but I understand these things happen and I am just grateful that you are doing your best to patch it with due haste. Anyways, all the people complain obviously love your games to otherwise they would not be so incensed by any little old hitch that happens, they are just to quick to anger and troll and for that I apologize for them. Keep doing what you do.

A lot of us are upset, but honestly I think disappointed is a better word for it than angry. Bioware let us down.
For the most part, I haven't seen many trolls on the forums (about the glitches). Just people genuinely expressing how they feel about it. Some of us are angrier than others, but I think we have that right.
I also love this game, which makes it all the more upsetting that I cannot play it because of these problems.

There wasn't a single game I looked forward to more than this after I had played the first 3 hours of DA:O, and I was greatly disappointed.
100 bugs fixes is nice... but it isn't nice when you consider most probably shouldn't be there in the first place.
The Isabella bug in particular is disappointing. I was absolutely looking forward to her being in my party to complement my 2H champion, and finding out the bug ensured I couldn't progress through the story. Without the bug? I'd have beaten it and probably be far in my second playthrough.
Instead, I've had to put the game on pause near the start of Act II... and if it turns out that saves without the bug (I made saves both prior and also right after getting it) aren't going to be 'saved' by this patch, then I'll have to re-play my character again... which is disappointing.
At least Bioware is fixing the problem. But it's a damn shame that it'll be nearly a month since the game came out.

"Any little old hitch"? Are you aware that at least two talents/spells (Goad and Armistice) literally do NOTHING, and it's not a "bug" or "glitch", it's something that is true for EVERY COPY OF THE GAME.
How does a QA department certify a game without at least testing every talent/spell? It's truly mind-boggling and totally inexcusable. And this is coming from someone who defended the ME2 PS3 glitch, because that only affected SOME players. If something affects EVERY player (which the Isabela/Sebastien bugs also do), it's hard to believe that it never once came up in playtesting.

Is it just me or does DA2 on the PS3 have really choppy graphics compared to its XBOX 360 counterpart? I saw some PS3 gameplay vids on youtube and the graphics looked fine but the graphics on my copy look borderline PS2. It is even starting to take a toll on my eyesight when I play the game.
Hope that the patch will fix this issue as well.
I dont see any difference to be honest. But, that's just me.

I love Bioware and their games, but the fact that a lot of the bugs in DA2 are glaringly apparent and can potentially impair playing the game and enjoying it is very disappointing. Like another poster said, makes you wonder how they decided to go gold with those issues in the game.
In any event, I just hope the patch comes out soon, and that it will be a patch that can salvage current playthroughs with its fixes, so that people won't have to reroll and start over. I'm just starting Act 2 and am getting really engrossed in the story, but I am also tempering how I play because I might have to abandon it anyway should a new patch come out requiring me to start over to reap its benefits.

I think it's just you, I had no issue with that - framerate was rock solid the whole time, much improved over DA:O, a much more "fluid" graphical experience. Both versions look basically identical to me.

Nope, it will require a restart. That's been pretty standard.

The story is crap. Even the reviews that praised the game criticized the unfocused story.

Standard that a patch requires a restart? Since when? Totally dependent upon the bug. Also, the story, at least up through the end of Act 2 is not crap. It is, in fact, quite good.

And 2 sustained abilities do not work as they should (Healing Aura and Heroic Aura, neither have the range they are meant to.)prazision wrote...
