I keep checking daily as well- hey kyriosh how do you know it'll be another month? did you hear this from bioware? did you call them or something? I haven't been able to nail any timeframe down on this patch release date anywhere.
It all depends on how quickly it goes from one source to the next. In this instance there are 3 levels of certification it has to pass before an official patch is released. First it goes through Bioware. Then they pass it to Sony. Once it passes Sony it has to go through EA. Seems redundant but that's the process so it can take anywhere between a couple of weeks to a couple of months depending on how slow or fast a particular branch is responding.

Wahooooo, a patch!!!! Hopefully the long wait will be worth it!! I do feel horrible for those who have had their systems "Bricked"!! I haven't even played it since I heard about that, and I'm actually surprised so many people did. A patch, I'm so excited!!! THANK YOU!!!!!!!!
If by bricked, you mean their consoles broke, you do realize that BioWare could have a class action law suit on their hands if it happened to enough people. Same thing happened with Final Fantasy XIII for PS3. Sony/Square ended up in a class action law suit because of it.
If I had a DIME for every time people threatened a "class action lawsuit" over bugged games- I'd have retired to Tahiti ten years ago.
I searched - don't see that anything has come of this. Of course, it can take years and years.

Gaming is a privilege not a necessity... so take your time coding patches BioWare =D
This is completely irrelevant.
Privilege or not, Bioware sold a broken product as if it were not broken. If you were to use any other industry as a standard, Bioware would be obligated to fix the problem quickly and offer some form of recompense. I imagine if I sold you a broken car, or any other consumer good (which are privileges and not a necessities), you'd expect your money back. Why should they be exempt from this simply because their product is a videogame?

The bottom line is that we paid money for a game that many can't play due to game breaking bugs/glitches and a constant freezing issue.
Thankfully bioware is trying to fix these issues,so that we can play the game we paid for.

Thats because alot of the cases they are settling "out of court" now apparently. Which is smart on Sony's behalf if you ask me lol

Would anyone know of a way to avoid these issues mentioned that the patch will cover? I have put 60 hours into the game and I love it, I didnt learn of these problems until a week ago. Waiting to play will be tough, I remember the Mass Effect 2 PS3 save issue took 3 weeks to patch, idk if I can wait that long again to play DA2 if it comes to that. Luckily I havent romanced Isabella and never use her or Sebastian unless its their personal mission but I did romance Merril and want to avoid her glitch.
I read some of the work arounds to the Isabella glitch, i ll avoid a friendship with her and Sebastian but I remember reading in gamespot/gamefaqs forums someone saying that there is a way to avoid the Merril glitch by talking to someone else before talking to Merril in Act 3. I cant verify who that NPC was, I wish I could find the thread again but no luck so far. Anyone have any current solutions to these issues? Because like I mentioned earlier, I hope the wait for the patch isnt as long(I know of the veryifing process a patch has to go through could be long). Hope you guys are enjoying the game as well and dont run into any issues.
Thanks for your time.

I have not tested it myself, but as I mentioned, several people posted it.

VeoLu-- Oh thank you for the clarification and for the non-spoiler, i appreciatte it. I assume that character cameo doesnt occur until Act 3? Im nearing the end of act 2 I believe and havent run into them yet. I hope thats a solution as id like to avoid the Merril glitch, my fave companion. Thanks again for the info
Aye, it is Act 3. I would just suggest avoiding merrill's house until you have your run in with the NPC.
You're very welcome, hope it works.

You know what's not complicated? Finding a "bug" like "Goad and Armistice literally don't do anything" or "Hmmm, I've had Isabela in my party most of the game and for some reason I'm attacking insanely slow". Those are flawed in every copy of the game and I don't think there's any excuse other than "we knew the bugs were there, but had a deadline" or "we literally have no playtesters".

I suspect when they finally do release it, it'll be on the same day as their first DLC. Which, IMO would make sense in a way so as to give players "motivation" to not only download the patch and play, but play some new "material" at the same time.
Wisest words I've heard thus far. They've been known to do that.

Seems to be a delay with Sony certifying the patch and then releasing it.
This. Once it goes to cert it's pretty much out of our hands. Both xbox and ps3 versions went to cert around the same time so it's just a matter of the process being lengthy for whatever reason. I believe* you'll see it on tuesday but don't quote me on that

Maybe Im wrong but isnt Sony stationed in japan? If so, the reason for the delay could be due to the quake/radiation business going on over there?
