Damn Sony. I regret buying this PS3. The exclusives have been better on the 360 so far, and this waiting for cert nonsense is just... gah. Should have brought the xbox...

Sony certification doesn't always take longer. That is a myth and adds nothing to the conversation, which should be about how BioWareEA apparently didn't playtest this game at all, considering how many bugs it has.

360 is definitely the way to go, especially because apparently a few extra days of your time is worth chunkier textures, longer load times, inability to play Blu-ray, pay-to-use online capabilities, outmoded CPU and GPU chipsets and a 60% failure rate.

Perhaps you might give thought to the notion that some bugs and glitches are console/platform specific, just like they were in Dragon Age: Origins, and these particular ones just happen to be taking longer on the Sony side than the Microsoft side.

Come on. A little perspective, people.

How do we know Sony received the patch the same day as Microsoft for all we know Sony got it days later or Sony is more meticulous in testing.

And I don't know I like the PS3 exclusives more. A lot of diversity and quality. but to each their own.  Just rent a game and in a week or two we ALL will have the patch. Hopefully it will work.

Im not sure what youre getting at but I dont have to pay for ANY of the online features I use on either my xbox OR my ps3.  All gold does is give you access to some "exclusive" crap but Ive no interest in that.  I can download DLC and play most online features for 95% of the games I play completely for free.  Fable III is one of a handful of games that required me to have gold membership to play online.

Ok now THAT is some epic bullcrap right there, you're pretty much telling the world you allow Bill Gates & Peter Molyneux  to bend you over and cornhole you all day tag team style and yet people **** endlessly here about da2? ha! that blows perspective out of the water, into space and thru the sun

How is it bullcrap? I dont understand.  My XBL silver membership is free (aside from DLC of course) and my PSN membership is free (again, aside from DLC)  I rarely play any "online" oriented games anyhow.  So, remind me again how Im supposedly getting, as you so eloquently put it, "cornholed"?  Im not paying for any features I dont use.  Plain and simple. Perhaps its the last part you're confused about.  Perhaps you're assuming that I paid for a gold membership to play Fable III online.  If that's the case, I probably didnt articulate it very well.  So to amend it, it's one of a few games that DOES require you to have a gold membership to play.  Which implies I DID NOT get a gold membership just to play.  The moment I realized that was the case I said screw that and went back into the normal story mode.

Maybe I overreacted. It's just waiting a week after everyone else gets their patch, along with more RPGs actually being on the 360, missing out on Mass Effect 1, blibbidy-blabbidy-bloo, I went over the line.

Still. Patch NAO. No seriously. Now. Now?

Umm...More RPG's on the 360? But have you seen the quality, Infinte Undiscovery, lol, Blue Dragon, get real, RPG's this gen have been hit or miss, with a lot more misses then hits, so having more of them may not be such a good thing.

WAT.

Anyway, have they given any clearer an idea if this patch will fix any of the bugged conversation snippets that are supposed to trigger from the imported plot flags from Origins? I'd be really disappointed to play through again and end up getting the same dialoge the second time around despite a very different imported save.

According to bioware it should fix it but if your game is already bugged, you will need to reload to a unbugged save as some fixes are not retroactive.

You mean Elderscrolls V: Skyrim? ;)
So, it's monday morning where I am right now (5:38am in Michigan).  Hopefully, (unless they're complete and utter dicks and dont release the patch until tomorrow afternoon.) by noon tomorrow I'll be able to get this patch up and running.  But as I said, knowing my luck, it wont be released until tomorrow afternoon or evening right when Im about to be heading to bed anyway which will make it Wedsday before I get to install it instead of Tuesday XD.  Im in bed by 7-8pm and am up at 4am every morning so these late evening "releases" are a bit annoying lol.

Huh? lol

If you enjoy being high level and having lots of money, using the max experience glitch. You best make a $h1tload of charecters now for you to play in the future so the bloody patch doesn't effect it.

Ahhh that one.  Only character I did that with is my Sword and Board character because of having the Fadeshear (as it scales with your level).  I wont miss it much.  I have...other means...of attaining mass amounts of money if need be hehe.  And since they never fixed that one in Origins, I doubt they've fixed it in DA2 either ^_^

Edit:  According to the page I just read, it's supposedly released today?

Uh... wait, what?  There are a lot more on the PS3, that's just numbers.  And the highest-quality ones are exclusives, like Valkyria Chronicles, Folklore, the Yakuza series, not to mention all the classic Square games you can buy on the PSN for $6 or $10.

We need to keep this thread focused on the fact that this game has been out for a month and a half with gamebreaking bugs.  Sure, New Vegas shipped with a lot of crashing issues, but you know what?  The patch also got released within a week or so, and some people say they still have problems but I've played through it several times with no issues since the patch.  There is no PS3 owner IN THE WORLD who can say "I don't have a problem with Isabela's friendship bug" or "Goad and Armistice work fine on my copy" or "Anders casts Haste when he's supposed to for me" or "Hawke's magic resistance doesn't make Haste last less long than it should".

(By the way, those last two aren't even fixed in this coming patch!  Maybe the NEXT patch, in 3 months!  Woo!)
