Hi Everyone

We know that people are waiting on more patching to fix issues they are having with Dragon Age II. We have said previously that we are working on patching for all 4 platforms (PC, Mac, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3), but we have not yet given any detail about what this patch will contain nor when it will be available. We greatly appreciate your patience as we work to fix issues with Dragon Age II and ensure that these fixes do not introduce new issues to the game. To help keep you updated on the status of the next patch (the first patch for PC and Mac Dragon Age II can be found HERE) we wanted to provide you with a more detailed message on the next Dragon Age II patch.

BioWare has prepared a patch for PC, Mac, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. We are currently testing the patch and are submitting it for certification with EA, Microsoft and Sony. Certification is where testing teams outside of BioWare confirm the fixes we make and ensure that no new issues are introduced. We continue to test the patch during the certification process to ensure quality. Once the patch has passed certification, it is then released to the public. We do not have a more exact ETA of when it will be available to you, but when we do know when it is available, we will let everyone know.

We cannot reveal to you the exact contents of the patch until it passes certification. We can say that there are more than 100 fixes including gameplay, quest and platform specific issues. We can also say that the implementation of auto-attack on both Xbox 360 and PS3 is included. When we can reveal the patch notes, we will let everyone know.

BioWare is dedicated to continuing to support Dragon Age II. We thank our community members who have helped our team fix issues by providing details and reports on the problems they are having. We appreciate your patience and your support.

Hopefully it's soon. I'm not playing through again until it's patched, no matter how much I want to.

Certification usually takes a week, so we're probably looking at April 12 at the earliest for 360 users.

edit: the 12th because MS usually only releases new content on Tuesdays.

Thank you very much. Personally I don't mind there not being an exact ETA considering you've explained things a little.

I can't wait to get to play the game again; I was having a lot of fun.

I only want to know two things:

1. Will the thumbs up bug be fixed?
2. Will the fix apply to saves already affected by the bug?

I thought that was only for the marketplace content. Game updates can come at any time can they not?

Anways, thanks for the update. From the sounds of it, hopefully we'll get a patch late next week. Fingers crossed.

Can't speak for everyone but I have been quite let down by some of the issues surrounding DA2 in regards to bugs. This made me an unhappy camper. Looking forward to seeing the patch notes. Until then I am going to shut the F up about auto attack and other support related 'things' and wait and see what the patch contains.

I'm actually not sure, I just assumed it was all content.

That's actually incredibly sad. Shame on you Bioware.

I'm curious if the Isabela and Sebastian buff glitch fix will bring current characters back to normal... or just prevent any future decreases. I've already deleted all of my characters because I felt like they were tainted (:P), but I bet most haven't.

I feel ya there, I'm going to delete my first warrior as well as my rogue and start them both over more than likely. The rogue is beyond all hope.

That's weird, 100 fixes. It's almost like this game was never playtested. These weren't exactly complex, deeply buried, difficult to replicate bugs.

That is actually very possible. They could simply reset everyone's base stat to 0, and then add buffs depending on your companion, skill and equipment. Whether you load a current game or start fresh should have no bearing on the effect of the patch. Correct me if I am wrong, I believe what the patch does is correct the current game when you boot it up. It does not go into your save file and mess with it. Your save serves as a bookmark, telling the game to boot to a certain instance.

While I'm glad there is a patch coming, 100 fixes is ridiculous. Next time, work on the game for at least two years, please.
