I couldn't care less about auto attack. but I am glad everything else seems to be getting addressed. My only character has the slow down glitch, so I haven't played in weeks. Really looking forward to the patch.

Also installing games lowers power usage slightly and GREATLY decreases wear n tear on both the system.

As for the person with disk unreadable errors. Is there a perfect ring on the underside of the disk. A laser burn from bumping the system while a disk is spinning can cause that issue.

I really hope Xbox360 users get the patch in a week or so and not a month or so. I've stopped playing as, for the second time, the Isabela glitch stopped me cold, and this time I hadn't even saved or loaded with her in the party! The Thumbs Up icon would show up when I loaded my save without her in my party but vanish when I went to party select so I thought nothing of it, but it was still dinging me.

I'm really disappointed in Bioware right now. Been playing games since I was 2 and this is the *1st* time I've stopped playing a game because of bugs or/and glitches.

You clearly never played Vampire: the Masquerade. When it launched the menu loading would crash the game.

Yea these bugs are pretty bad. They make you not wanna play. I'm with you Casyle I hope the patch for 360 comes quick because I wanna play already and not have to wait.  I also wanted to know what they meant by they are including auto attack?

Here's a question I have for the devs. If you make a Hawke that has Blonde hair or red hair or any color hair other than black, should not your family members, namely Bethany and Carver have similar colored hair?

I thought it would be like that myself honestly. I make a brown haired Hawke and Carver and Bethany are always having black hair which I think is odd if you and your siblings have the same father and same mother.

Your siblings will always have dark hair no matter what. The only thing that changes is their face.

There was a specific reasoning for it too. It was to prevent the clash of light hair and dark skin (or something along the lines of that).

@ Cyano Except - almost always in my experience - no matter what you do to your own Hawke, Beth and Carver always look the same. Only once in a number of new PC's have they changed at all for me.

Often, only their profile pics (onscreen and in menus) *have* altered, yet even these revert to their default versions when you save and load (or reach Kirkwall). I don't really care if they change at all, but I thought it was a nice touch. However, like many things in DA2, it just doesn't work like it should.

Is that a known issue which is supposed to be fixed? It's way, WAY down on my list of priorities, however.

Good to hear about the imminent patch, but it's a disgrace such a fix was needed in the first place. Someone needs to lose their job over this; no other industry treats its consumers as poorly as the gaming industry does.

@ Spanishcat:

I suspect someone will lose their job over this. Hopefully it won't come to that though. It's been my experience that the larger the company, the less likely it is the real culprit eats the bullet.

Wow the thread has turned from patch udate to xbox mantainance lol.I swear by installing mostly for hardware purposes>less wear and tear on discs, laser, fan. It helps with lag too and some framerates kinda depends on the game though. Also handy if your kid scratches a disc all the system needs is to recognise it,you should see my copy of Odst least it's installed.

It's about time. DA2 is a mess of a game that desperately needs to be patched.

I highly doubt we will have a patch in two weeks. They said they would include auto attack in the new patch but what is auto attack and why do we need it.

It just means that you don't have to push ''A''all the time to mellee attack, just press once at target initiate it.It was supposed to be in the release but wasn't,some people like it other's don't.Don't worry you can turn it on and off. This patch update thread was created last week ,we don't know when Bio officially submitted it to MS and Sony for test approval,if it was last wednesday/thursday then you may see the patch on Tuesday(as that is MS new content day on live) if not the following tuesday.

Oh alright thanks so it would sorta go back to the way origins was. Cause wasn't origins like that. I like pressing a its just a difference that people should get use to but w/e.

Fingers crossed for this Tuesday coming, though I think that seems too good to be true. /cynic
Personally I didn't miss the auto-attack but it can come in handy if you're trying to control everyone in your party.

Ty for the information Chris.
I just have one question if you please, will the patch fix saved game characters that have been affected by companion and item set bugs?

I don't think he's allowed to say: "We cannot reveal to you the exact contents of the patch until it passes certification."

Please tell me that it sorts out imports. I have just noticed that Nathaniel Howe mentions that I sparred the Architect even though I mercilessly lopped his head off with Vengeance after lighting him on fire with a Fireball and having a dozen arrows in his face from Nathaniel.

Please tell me it fixes the Isabela bug for current characters? The program I've been using to edit the bug effects out of my saves has started corrupting them all for no known reason, and I'm about at the end of my tether with this issue as I now have 2 late-game playthroughs on hold, and I'm not starting another without being able to finish once.

We all hope the patch fixes it cause i am having the same problem with my file. Makes me not even want to play my file.  When the patch does come out they will tell us what they fixed.  Supposedly it's suppose to be over 100 fixes to the game but thats ridiculous because there is no reason for a game to come out with that many bugs.  As if they never  tested it.  I don't remember this many bugs in origins when it first came out.

uuuummmmmmm shouldn't the "certification team" already have saw these bugs and problems??? next time dont sell the game until its ready. or sell it at a lesser value since you KNEW the problems were already there. the reason you dont know whats in the patch is because you are still WORKING on the game and dont know what you can get done in time to satisfy the public. DONT SELL ANY GAMES THAT ARE NOT READY!! ITS NOT THAT HARD!!!
