Not everyone can be Bobby Kotic.

I miss the days where one dude eating cheetos and drinking Jolt would hotfix the game at 2:57 AM approximately 3 hours and 17 minutes after a serious bug was discovered. Sure, once in a while you'd get new problems. But the way it works now a lot of the core audience is either finished or mostly finished with the game by the time big issues are addressed. Having bugs fixed very quickly 95% of the time and making things worse 5% of the time is hugely better than having bugs fixes very slowly and only making things worse 1% of the time. Note: consoles are different and there are good reasons why the above doesn't apply.
Also, you kids get off my lawn.

EA owns Bioware. The only way they could change publishers is if another company bought them from EA.TGiNcRySiS wrote...
I have a fellow staffer who has a buddy that works at EA. He wouldn't tell me a name or what level he works there at but he did tell me that they are just evil in every sense. From how they run the buisness to how they treat employees. This is just second hand info but he also told me that PC gamers aren't at the top of thier list. After hearing all of that, this all makes perfect sense. Maybe Bioware should change publishers if and when a contract expires.

I had just finished the game last week despite the Isabella/Sebastian issues (I basically didn't touch their personal quests, where Isabella left my party). I also had to replay several areas over again due to other issues as well. I want to play several more play throughs, however I want to use both Seb and Isa, so I'm waiting for this patch before doing so.

Be aware that when the patch does come out it may tank all of our saved games.

I would cry.
I would be really happy that Zevran loves my Warden again, but I would be crushed that I'd have to restart my perfect, perfect mage!Hawke. I mean, I already finished his story! Twice! If he breaks due to the upcoming patch, that would be eighty hours of gaming right down the tubes! *siiiigh*

That'd be a terrible thing if the patch invalidated save games. I imagine devs try to hack up the system as much as possible to prevent players from having to wipe their saves, so if the patch did that (intentionally), whatever they changed would have to be pretty serious.

I've just bought the game not knowing that i wont be able to max out the graphic settings on my GTX 570 until this damn patch is released. Theres no way im gonna start playing it on a crap graphics setting. I set it to DX11 'very high' detail and it went t*ts up:)
It seemed ok on just 'high' detail. But i didn't pay over £250 on a graphics card for just 'high'!
Oh well, hopefully we'll get it in the next day or two, in time for the weekend would be nice
