Just want to state that I completed the game last week and experienced no game breaking bugs and had overall outstanding performance on my PC. Most of the bugs I experienced were minor annoyances, and one small side quest that was broken. In other words, everything I would expect in a vanilla 1.0 release of a major game. Largest annoyance was some of the DA:O save game import decisions that were either not recorded properly, or not reacted to.

I am taking a break from DA2 to replay the Witcher (which took 5 patches to fix most oustanding issues, mind you) in prep for the May release of Witcher 2. But I will gladly be revisiting DA2 in about a month when 1.02 is released. I love this trend that Bioware has started with save game imports adding continuity to game series. To me, that is a tremendous selling point for any game.

And thank you Bioware, for an overall outstanding game. I don't know where all the fan vitriol comes from...but then again, I had a pretty much bug free gaming experience. I may be singing a different tune if I experienced some issues that other users are reporting...

It could be worse. We could have bought $100-dollar tickets to a Charlie Sheen Rants show.

So, how long does this certification usually take, a week, a month?

Over 9000 100 bugs? That's... a lot. Well, it's good to know that something's being done about it. Keep it up! I'll be eagerly awaiting the list of fixes!

April Fool's prank? What you think guys?

I think it would be extranordinarily stupid of them to release information that players have been waiting for, for quite awhile and then yell "April Fools - no patch guy enjoy your broken game! ;)"

You know I'd probably laugh at first if they did this. Though I'd probably be rather annoyed after the humour of it wore off. And I imagine there would be an angry mob visiting their office if that did happen.

Are you sure it's not unplayable because of your broken keyboard?

Maybe there is something that you "normal people" can't understand

Maybe if you had this bug, you would have agreed with me.

Actually because of this bug i can't play my game the way it should be played.

I have that bug. And I completed the game just fine when I learned about it. Just put character suffering on hold for now and I dunno... play again without befriending Isabella and Sebastian untill patch is there?

And stop ****ing, there are people who can't play at all or even access their game and they behave better than you.

And yes it is infurating that game is as bugged as it is and I am frustrated that I can't finish with my mage Hawke. Still this is no reason to act like some uncultured berserk.

We cannot reveal to you the exact contents of the patch until it passes certification. We can say that there are more than 100 fixes including gameplay, quest and platform specific issues. We can also say that the implementation of auto-attack on both Xbox 360 and PS3 is included. When we can reveal the patch notes, we will let everyone know.

I don't care that the character I have selected won't attack his target sometimes. I don't care that a quest for rescuing someone doesn't work. As long as I can play the game, without getting the Isabela slowdown STD, or have Sebastian turning my sword/shield tank Hawke into a one-hitpoint wonder, I'll be happy...

Dear Bioware, why do you pretend that they treat all consoles equally? It's funny, everyone was worried that the whole game was getting dumbed down for console gamers, and then they leave out the auto-attack just for them, as if they want people to think it's dumbed down. The PC gets a Texture pack, and an auto-attack, from the get-go, not to mention that loading screens are a breese on the PC version! Does Bioware realize, that if they would have included an auto-attack option for the console versions, this game would have gotten much, MUCH better reviews???? Dragon Age 2 combat on the PC is nearly perfect. I play on PC, and it is fun, just watching a mage twirl around, or using Fenris as a tank by controlling him and clicking on different enemies (and then BLAM, Merril fries them all with lightning!). You guys got a bad review from X-play, because since there was no auto-attack, all they did was mash special attacks, without putting points into willpower or the Battlemaster tree.

It was supposed to come with the game. It was left out by accident right at the end of production.

I can't believe it's so hard to understand....
In the software I paid to play, they put the option to befriend Isabella and Sebastian....and this is just what i want to do.
It's simply dumb to say "just replay and take other paths"....I already choose to not play at all until patch is released....maybe I'll play some bug free games from other companies...and maybe I will not buy bioware games in the future (or maybe not....they have made some awesome games).
I repeat....this is Bioware fault, resulted from bad testing. I have the right to be angry as much as I want. And I want to do this also in the name of all the people that can't even run this game due to the directx11 bugs with ATI and NVIDIA video cards (with my old video card I could run this game only in directx9 mode).

If you are playing on PC, keep in mind, you can use the DAO savegame editor tool to fix the Isabella haste bug.

Well you can fix that yourself,  "I know you shouldn't have to" but it is easy to do.
Just load up the save game using gff4editor then set animation speed to 0 (however make sure all speed buffs are off)
social.bioware.com/project/1936/#files

Then drop the friendship bug fix in your override folder for quick work around till the patch.

There is no way we will see a patch this month.  I guarantee it.  I will not play this game until we get a patch fixing more issues.  It looks like Nvidia has gotten things straightened out with latest beta driver(I will wait for full release).  The Witcher 2 will be out beginning of May and I have a feeling CD Projekt has payed close attention to this debacle and release a solid PC RPG that is very playable.  I stress PC RPG.
