Flemeth - Most over rated character ever?

Example: DAO instead of Flemeth taking all the glory of saving you just have it be Morrigan- a character that actually matters in the grand scheme of things.
DA2 instead of her showing up to 'save you' just have Hawke and group escape from the Blight on their own.
Look at that two simple things changed and the story isn't altered at all and it doesn't feel weird because there a weird old lady in it that tries to be meaningful. I know people will say "Oh but she's going to be important latter on!!!11!" To which I'll ask then why not introduce her then instead of showing up for 1 1/2 minutes in both games? She was talked about by the Devs for how long when DA2 was being discussed and how the ritual was a HUGE PLOT TWIST... really? It was a plot twist for a lossly established character to show up for a minute and then fly away never to be seen or add anything to the story again?
I'd hate to be the only one that looks at that character and just feels sick at the idea that she's suppose to be important and all I see of her is a worthless add-on that you really don't need at all. Am I the only one that thinks she's over rated?

Flemeth first appears in the Stolen Throne novel, which depicts the adventure of Cailan's father Maric and Loghain, as they struggle to regain Ferelden from the Orlesians. Flemeth tells Maric that Loghain will betray him three times. Throughout the course of the novel, Loghain only betrays Maric twice.
The third betrayal is at Ostagar, when Loghain abandoned Maric's son Cailan, leaving him to die at the hands of the Darkspawn. Flemeth knew that Loghain would abandon Cailan at Ostagar, long before Maric became king.
You might also want to think about the Witch Hunt DLC. In DAO, you can discover Flemeth's Grimoire in the Circle Tower. If you give it to Morrigan, she will tell you that she fears that Flemeth will try to steal her body.
The Witch Hunt DLC takes place after DAO - in it, Morrigan reveals that Flemeth has a far greater plan: " I thought I knew what Flemeth planned. I thought what she craved was immortality. And yet I was wrong. So very wrong. She is no blood mage, no abomination... She is not even truly human. The ritual was but a means to an end, a herald for what is to come."
Flemeth forced Morrigan to go with the Warden, because she knew their adventure would take them to the Circle Tower - and this meant that Morrigan would uncover her Grimoire.
Flemeth is my favourite character in Dragon Age - she is cunning and manipulative. Best of all - nobody knows what her plan is.

DAO: Flemeth is manipulating the Warden and Alistair similarly. She plants the idea of vengeance in Alistair's mind. She has the treaties and manipulates the Warden into using them and into taking Morrigan, which sets up the DR. She has a similar "unmoved mover" quality in DA2. And yet the writers are restrained in using her as deus ex machina, unless you count saving the Warden and Alistair off of the Tower, in which case she's very much a DEM.
If you go back into Fereldan history, again, she is moving things. In all this, she's a very believable and even tragic figure herself. She's not villain or hero but a mixture of both.
I think she's brilliant. And then there is her VA. 'Nuff said.

In fact, Flemeth has been pushing everything so far. She is known she has always been the puppeteer in the histories.

A seemingly harmless old hag, with great power behind the fassade.
In Dragon Age 2 she is pretty much exaggerated.
That look of hers.....Jesus.
Like a MILF from a Japano-Show xD

Flemeth is most likely to be revealed as an Old God-Arch Demon or Andraste herself.
I stated that she was an Old-God myself. It explains much more of her abilities and how powerful she is.

Saying that every design-descision of the game was Varrics Fault.
What a perfect excuse.....not

And I think it feels like it's a good time to say that I hate you Bioware (probably equivalent to a grain of sand's weight) for making me hope Flemeth was gonna come swooping down from the skies dragon form and all: :/ meh...

She basically does nothing in both games except for the very begining, talks in riddles acts big and bad and then... that's about it.
I can do that too. The sun grows dark but lo here comes the dawn.

But she just seemed like an unnecessary Cameo in DA2 and the game didn't really need her riddles and another set of unanswered questions.
But that said, she's probably one of the coolest characters in Dragon Age lore nontheless..
