1. Refuse to help Meredith.
2. Use a Renegade interrupt to cancel Orsino's completely predictable and groan-inducing transformation with a well-placed backhand.
3. Get Anders a new hobby, like square-dancing or knitting. He needs something new to talk about.

lol dude i totally agree with 2 and 3 XD

i can imagine orsino going all " so they expect blood magic!? here it goes..." and you just approach him slowly , and right-hook him in the jaw! bam!! and then say some one liner worthy of swarznegger , something random like " i´ll be back..."

what!? >_>  <_<

The problem with #2 Psycho is that the Arishok wouldn't leave. Like he said the Qun demands that he either kills you or he is killed there can be no walking away from that.

Screw the Qun.  And who said anything about *walking* away?  I just said I wouldn't kill him, not that I wouldn't break both his legs, arms, and horns for good measure.  If he wants to go throw himself off the castle wall because he can't live with the shame, that's his business, but I ain't killin' him.

Even better, if Izzy comes back with the book, you could make it a condition of the duel that if you beat him, HE has to stay HERE and submit to YOU.  After all, if you fight him over Izzy, if you win you don't gain anything you didn't already have.  If he wants to gain, he should undertake a similar risk.

Yeah, a total pimp slap followed by "GET AHOLD OF YOURSELF, MAN!!!" or, alternately, "**** WHERE'S MY MONEY"

Or "STOP BUYING ME DRESSES!" for all those times he gives your Warrior/Rogue Hawke a robe as a reward.

Many things are listed which I would have enjoyed.

1. Family: visit sibling in the Gallows, invite Gamlen to live with me in the house since he sort of saved our ass from being kicked out of Kirkwall.
2. More engagement in everyday life of the Chantry (to see their side of the story).
3. Track down the lyrium idol (I bet that thing had massive magical energies) and have a (not necessarily combative) battle sort of thing with Meredith attempting to get it away from her (not necessarily successful one) or try to convince the other templars/mages the idol is negatively affecting her etc.

You also need the ability, in the preceding scene when the templars are busting in and slaughtering the (apparently) first-level mages, to say something along the lines of "whose idea was it to let all the lowbie casters tank this fight?"

Or, even better, just to have the scene be interrupted by Aveline charging to the front and bringing the assault to a screeching halt all by her lonesome while screaming unprintable opinions on mages who'd be so @#$@! stupid as to try and stop swords with their robes. "THEM, ARMOR. YOU, DRESS. GET A CLUE."

I mean, seriously, not a single barricade or glyph of paralyzation or mind blast? COME ON.

1. Kill Meredith a little sooner, and put Cullen in charge.

2. Kill all the damn bat****crazy blood mages in on orgy of death.

3. Barring 1 and 2, then just walk away at the end and let everyone kill each other.

1) Visit the Dwarven Merchants Guild. I know Varric hates the place but c'mon I wanted to learn more about the surface Dwarves and stuff!

2) Speak to some Dwarven women. One even. It was bad enough knowing for certain that there was no chance we would finally get a female Dwarven romance in the game (if any Dwarf was going to be romancable it would be Varric) but to remove them completely? Lame! Plus, Sigrun should so have had a cameo either in Nates quest or in a seperate similar quest.

3) Get to mooch around the Hawke family farm and Lothering before the Blight hits. Even a small, simple Origin-like segment would have satisfied me here.

Honourable mention goes to the big Dalish meeting we get told about (the one that happens every ten years). When Marethari mentioned it I was certain we would get to go to it but alas it wasn't to be. I suppose it's possible the last one was fairly recent when Hawke got to Kirkwall and the new one could be involved in DLC that takes place in the year 7-10 gap but still.

I'm partly mentioning this as my 1+2 sort of combine with this in a wish to just see more of the Dwarves and Elves in general. It would have made the lack of being able to play as one a bit less painful to those that love their portrayal in DA if they weren't shoved to one side somewhat (the Elves less so thanks to Merrill).

1) See the gallows from the inside, preferrably after being taken in for unleashing firestorms in the middle of the street, in broad daylight.

2) Strangle Cullen with his own innards.

3) Renegade interrupt basically everyone during "best served cold"

1) Easier access to Templar armor.
2) Ability to avoid Leandra death OR just a normal death without any Frankenstein goodbye speech.
3) Allure (Desire Demon) companion with unique skills and specs. You can kill Sebastian during his quest and recruit her instead. Out of combat, she takes the form of a beautiful woman so as not to attract attention. Potential powers include charm spells, % to charm passive on all basic attacks, and summon shade. (Edit:  Possible LI obviously...)

I want at least one 'punch' cutscene for each character. I don't want to kill them or boot them from the game I just want the odd time for a 'Punch' icon to come up so if Anders or Fenris act like asses for about the 100th time in the game I can just Smack! and then get back to the game,

Oh another thing I really wish I could have done is, when I took Anders into the Fade for Night Terrors, I REALLY I wish I could have told Justice to get the **** out of Anders and stay there. "You said you were trapped outside, but guess what not anymore!! You're welcome!"

Sorry... 3 just isn't enough.

10. Kill Meredith immediately after the Chanrty explosion, while she's running off.

9. When confronting Petrice after dealing with Ketojan: be able to walk in, break Varnell's neck then drive me elbow into her face. Followed up with screaming at her "Do I look like a B**** to you? *get her attention* Hey, hey... do I LOOK... LIKE... A B****?!?"

8. Break Bartrand's various facial bones.

7. Grab Sebastian by the throat when he tries to leave, and remind him of what happens to people who make me their enemy.

6. Beat the hell out of Castillon, then tell him that if I ever found out he was dealing slaves, I'd find him and finish him off. (Isabela said it would be amaturish to kill him, she never said anything about hurting him.)

5. ...Recruit Shepard. Seriously, Hawke + Shepard would have been easier than the exaggerated opening.

4. Have a longer, Act 3, with a few more meaningful main plot quests.

3. Save Momma Hawke from the bloodmage, with the help of Mr. Dupuis.

2. Have a conversation at the end of the game with one of our comanions,. either whoever was romanced, or with one at random if none were romanced/Anders was romanced and then killed.

1. Perfrom Renegade/Paragon interrupts.

She was favorite citizen of Kirkwall that wasn't related to Hawke or a companion.

Kill people that set me up. Also kill people when it is convenient for me, not for them. Specifically:

Kill Fenris for sending me into a trap as a distraction without warning me.
Kill Petrice for sending me into a trap as a political scheme. (wtf? She decides not to give me permission to kill her if I'm angry?)
Kill the Arishok at the Qunari compound, instead of after he's taken over the city.
Kill Meredith immediately rather than letting her wander off to gather her army (seriously, wtf? They could have at least had her retreat and have some templars cover her escape so she can rally the rest of them or something).

There's probably a couple more instances that basically boil down to the same thing: Kill people when I want to, not when they decide it's convenient to graciously permit me to fight/kill them.

Kinda a Mage support list for the most part:

Have a last battle with Cullen and the remaining templars
Chase after Anders screaming "your dead" for killing the mage that calls him a demon - yes I know he needs to live until the end :(
Beat some sense into either Orsano or Meredith at the end - seriously is there some rule you have to have multiple end game bosses?
Have a cut scene where most of the templars boats get sunk by Issabella on her ship

Far too many things I would do differently to elaborate on if the game actually offered choices instead of the ILLUSION of choices.
Top three would probably be:
1. Murder knife Anders in Act 1 when he first tells you he's an abomination.
2. Save Leandra from Quentin.
3. Sail off in the boat Isabella gets from Castillion when the sh*t hits the fan in Act 3, washing my hands of the Cradle of Idiocy that is Kirkwall. I imagine this ending anyway after killing Meredith, my Hawke sails away with Issy (the offer is made regardless of friendship/Love interest) to be pirates and live a decadent lifestyle of strings free nookie and fine cheeses and wines of the world.

I wish I could have chatted with my homies more. One 'Questioning belief' thing per act wasn't enough. I sure as heck didn't feel like I spent 3 years with my LI.
Anders "I can't tell you how much it has meant for me to have a partner these last 3 years."
Hawke: "Uh... Yeah.. 3 years huh? What was your name again?"

Well, its extremely unlikely that the average mage has any idea how to fight.   Of those who do have some kind of combat useful spells, most of them have probably never used them in a serious situation.

Just because player characters are professional practitioners of violence capable of achieving archmage levels of skill, it does not mean that other mages are anything like that.   They probably have 8DPS staffs and *maybe* a mindblast or something.

1. Fight for the freedom of mages throughout the entire game. If I have to blow the Chantry in the end, so be it, but no one is doing that for me.

2. Become a viscount.

3. Romance the Arishok. And recruit Ketojan. It sucks that he declares you worthy of following but he wouldn't follow you. What a tease.

If that's not possible, I want an option to turn back at the docks of the city of Kirkwall and seek shelter from the Blight in a different city.

Or maybe something more attainable?

1. Save the Qunari delegation. At least ONE of them. I failed to save so many people, but those deaths still make no sense to me. Why couldn't I stop him from slitting their throats? I'm a mage, my spells are faster than any man.

2. Wish I could kill mother Petrice personally.

3. Make a deal with a pride demon to save my mother.
