Hey AreleX I had a question, would the build you describe work for an Archer Rogue? I mean obviously not getting the DW points and they'd go elsewhere (not in Archery since it sucks) but overall would this work with an Archer as well as a DW Rogue? Thanks

I wouldn't, immediately see why not. Wouldn't be able to take advantage of Staggers as regularly without Explosive Strike. Could look toward Lance with two 'trash' points in Pinning/Bursting. Possibly use Fenris since Warrior would be the only one in melee range and let him run wild.

im at the arishok and the guy keeps healing. I dont know how many potions he is supposed to have but he gulped 5 last time i tried. I got the best daggers i could find and assasinate doesnt do enough damage fast enough to bypass his potions healing :/ uff maybe i`ll have to do it in a teamfight.

edit: His attacks seem buggy aswell :/ im way out of range and he keeps hitting me. and if he ever gets me to the ground its over he always hits me after an attack because the animation takes so long he has the time to counter before i can even more :/

Yup, it still works quite beautifully since the Assassin/Duelist skills aren't directly tied to your weapon.  Obviously not the most optimal but with that sort of build and having buffs focused on speeding up your attacks, you'll do great as well.  Switching to a bow was useful for me while battling the High Dragon.

I wouldn't use them myself, I feel that's a job better suited to setting up tactics for. Moreover, I didn't use either with my main Rogue party (Hawke, Aveline, Merrill, Anders), just Taunt and Battle Synergy, which, I think, will be even better once they fix threat/threat management to work properly all the time.

Oh well. It was just a thought, thinking for getting aggro off Mages, etc. Patch went live on 360 today, it fixes Rally, Armistice, Goad, and other stuff.

BTW, did you skip Scatter & Assault for Aveline, based on your Tactics? What did you get from the SnS tree?

EDIT:

When you're playing this build, you should be killing things fast enough that talents like that would just be a waste. The only time my mages died was to backstabs, and most Assassins were dead before they even got the chance.

Yep, as I said Rally should be working now, so you should the Might boost now. EDIT BTW, did you skip Scatter & Assault for Aveline, based on your Tactics? What did you get from the SnS tree?

I think you should change your tactics for Merrill a bit. Use Blood only when he mana falls low, keeping it on at the start is a waste of free mana. Use this:

Self: Mana Level under 10% > Use current condition for next tactic
Self: Health above 50% > Activate Blood of the First
Self: Health under 50% > Deactivate Blood of the First

<rest of tactics>

Enemy: As long as one is alive > Skip Tactics
Self: Any > Deactivate Blood of the First

The actual armor I have EQUIPPED is the Guardian of Enasalin, meaning it has those stats, but the MODEL of the armor is the Knight-Templar Regalia; I modded my save and swapped the models.

Nothing new on the Rogue front yet, but I did post a video of quite possibly the most awesome Dissent clear ever in my mage thread.

I will be revisiting Rogue sometime soon, now that I have Sebastian and his Wounding Arrow, I just don't know when.
