I'm wondering this. You give us instructions for a convoluted method that requires using DAO's character creator when it would just be so much easier to have an option in our albums for "Set as avatar".
Why? Some of us who play on console don't have the PC specs to run that program.
Why does having a custom avatar have to be so complicated?

Yeah, the custom avatar thing is actually bypassing the rules. You might notice on the FAQ that it specifically says custom avatars are not allowed. It's one of those things like how we don't talk about Fight Club in the hope that the administrators keep looking the other way.

I'm guessing it's one of those things where there's so many people doing it and it's not hurting anyone that it would be a waste and a pain for the staff to end up cracking down on it.

So the administrators say "No Custom Avatars" and the other staff are helping members to break that rule?
Also your administrators pretty much let us use the site as a free image hosting service, yet a custom avatar is out of the question despite the other things we could possibly use the albums for. Doesn't that seem a bit double standarded?

By all means, if the double standard bothers you, campaign for the administrators to crack down on those custom avatars. That'll make you popular.

(Hello, I'm french, I failed posting my custom avatar with the character creator (I see him with a trollface in my sleep) so I come here to complain-- because the Staff is not going to the french BSN. Also, I suck at english. Like any french people. And I complain, like any french people : clichés power !)
I wonder why we can't choose our own picture ? An avatar is something we like, a kind of representation-- God, Why I won't listen in english class ? - and it's not funny to see a lot of other members have the same of you. Okay, it's not that important, but this is an option in every forum I know, and like we said (or not) we appreciate things only after they disappear.
I hope it's clear... I really hope so.
