LOL, this thread is on N7 Academy too.

The new man-giraffe-dog?

I believe I posted this there too, yes.

Oh and lets forget all about the collectors shall we? For reaper minions we blow through them like paper.

Commander Shepard did, sure, but s/he's among the best of the best in the galaxy. In any case, killing Reaper minions won't tell us much. We can kill billions of Reaper minions and never get anywhere. I'll be impressed and relieved when we can easily disable a Reaper dreadnought.

You make a valid point. Or at least you would if this wasn't a video game and thus a victory is all but guaranteed :/

I have my fingers crossed that Bioware will make ME3 a game where we can actually lose again. I'm sure there will be a way to win, but you almost have to intentionally screw up to have Shepard die in ME2, in ME3 it should be possible to lose simply by making a very serious mistake at the end of the game.

I can't be bothered to go through 30 pages of posts, so I'm going to assume that the mass effect wiki article about the planet Klencory and the "beings of light" has never been brought up. Do you guys think that that was a really well hidden hint? Figured this was kind of on topic since it make note of a defense against the reapers, fake or not.

As a firm believer that Sovereign lied about their origins and that they have more pride than Zeus, I have one thing to say to the Reapers

I have my theories on their upcoming defeat:

1. Tell Harbinger "This sentence is false!"
2. Ask Harbinger if a set of all sets contains itself.
3. Have a fellow AI (Legion or EDI) tell Harbinger and the other Reapers that silicon heaven does not exist and that calculators just die.

Their systems will overload from confusion and over-analysis and they will simply obliterate themselves. They'll never see it coming! B)

Calculate the exact value of Pi Harbinger.

I win and they will be on standby till we blow them to bits.

Sounds like a fairtale to me, though I won't be surprised if Bioware makes Klencory a plot world in ME3. It might be too predictable though. Sounds suspiciousy like the kind of ending I hate in fiction.

I want the heroes to win because they fight hard and clever... not because they summon undead spirits to save them. (The LOTR trilogy SUCKED)

Klencory sounds like the delusions of a drugged out volus to me. If it is the reason for victory, i want it to be something that takes the fight from 'impossible' to 'slightly possible' not an ace up shepards sleeve.

What happens when you put a human up against a computer designed to win at Jeopardy or Chess? There's a real example and it isn't a pretty one.

Last time I checked, the computer kicked everyone's asses in Jeopardy.

Simple solution the computer is designed to win at Chess, you play monopoly.
It's designed to win at Jeopardy you play wipeout.

We have this amazingly glorious ability to circumnavigate rules for our own advantage example (The entire history of human conflict.

What about when you run into a computer designed to win at everything?

"Everything" means it can probably swim and can probably invent new games better than you can too. We're talking about a computer designed to do anything a human can do and to do it better. No reason such a computer can't exist.

You think the reapers will go for the citadel again? There was deffinately vallidity to that plan, and going for it with more force may be seen as a credible attack

You purposefully try to lose.
It won't expect no competetion, will expect it's already won and cease conflict!:wizard:
And if that doesn't work BEAM SPAM GLORIOUS BEAM SPAM! With ludicrous amounts of MORE DAKKA.

After Mass Effect 1 and 2 you can't really say something is impossible for Commander Shepard. I said this in another post Garrus gave Commander Shepard magical powers. :wizard:

They are not neccessarily vulnerable to EMP.

You are assuming they are solid state computers rather than organic. Everything we have seen of Reaper tech from the husks to the Collectors to the slushies to the Reaper larvae suggest they are actually organic.

Designed to win and even well designed does not equate to a lack of design flaws.
