My current .2da editor is sufficient for single line changes, but I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to cut and paste large sections. Since I'm starting to add custom content to my campign, I have to merge .2da files and doing it line by line just isn't practical. Suggestions?
I'm in the market for a new .2da editor. Which do you suggest?

Use notepad. A 2da is just a text file.

If you don't mind dealing with something in beta you can use Never Worker
Has the ability to extract any differences from the official 2da as a script, which can be run as needed to create a merged 2da file. This is the only efficient way to do big changes. ( use compare, then extract diff, read and edit as desired, then open file you wish to put those changes into, then hit run )
Also has copy paste cut for entire rows.
Can save tab delimited which makes it so you can use excel as well. Really more of a toolkit. But it's something i am working on. Description of it is here. Basically i never liked what was out there so i kept working on this for personal use as i needed things, and it still needs things done so it's polished.
I would say using other programs, notepad, textpad, excel have advantages.

Excel is pretty good for the editing, it's just it saves it as single-tab-delimited which means if you have long entries, it shows up as a big mess if you then open it in, say, Notepad. Personally I just use Notepad because if all you need to do is copy/paste or change an entry, there's really no need for anything fancy.

Excel can chew up some 2da's and it might take a bit to notice, the space delimited is not very compatible. Use my tool, set to tab delimited in prefs, then save it to ensure you don't have excel issues.
( Main reason folks don't use excel is this, but it's really a great option if you have it )
