What final cut? It was never intended to be in the actual game.

The metal wasn't cut from the game because it was never going to be in the game. It was only for promotional purposes

I liked it.

Then again, I like several of Marilyn Manson's songs. Posted Image

First off Marilyn Manson is not even real metal he is Nu-wave junk, and secondly I completely agree with you, when I am playing an RPG I do not want blazing metal riffs in the background I save those for when I am playing an FPS or something.

Yeah, thankfully the Manson was just a bad marketing decision to make the game seem "hardcore man!" or..."edgy!" I have nothing against Manson as a human being, but as an artist...I mean hell just look at the stage name he chose. Shock value. Lot's of thunder, no lightning. *grumble*

Okay, rant over. Yeah, I think Hawaii Five-0 would of been better than Manson, I like to laugh more than cry.

I am old enough to have been in the first Manson concert in the UK back in the summer of '97. At the time they were thought more of a Goth/Industrial band. Although I never really liked them I don't mind that their music made it in the promotional trailers of this game. However, I liked very much the ethereal song of the Character Creator. Does anybody know by whom is that song?

IT wasnt really a bad marketing decesion. You didnt like it, I know a ton of people who did. I didnt want it in the final game, but for the violence montages they were showing, it was perfect

I don't want to nitpick but don't you mean the song of the launcher, I only ask this because if you had music in the CC I'd like to know how you did it

It's by the same guy that's done the entire score for the game. Inon Zur. Aubrey Ashburn does the the vocals.

www.youtube.com/watch  Nice video to watch about the music.

And people, upon seeing, instantly suspected it was a hack-and-slash.

*sigh...* This topic has been done to death a million times since E3... Mansion was used for the trailer and was never intended to be in the game. AT ALL.

On a side note the music I have heared, has been ok, but far from amazing for me atleast.

Amazing for me was Baldursgate 2. But it will probably sound better once I start playing the game and get used to it.

NB! this is not a general statement, its like the topic here a personal opinoion!

I liked the marylin manson music in the trailers a lot. I wouldn't want it in-game, but for the trailers it was awesome enough.

Personally, I really liked the metal music in the trailers. I thought it made it all seem... more bad-ass, which was the point I think. Good stuff!

For Christ sake, can't Bioware keep the spoilers out of their own movies? (0:35 for those who want to see - and those who want to avoid). Why does everyone die there? And why do I need to see that early?

And taking Manson in their promotion was pretty risky I think, since a lot of people blame his music (along with Counter Strike) for all those shootings in schools. Stupid people.
I liked the Manson in the Violence trailer, but it shouldn't be in the game. And luckily for us, Bioware was as smart and they never even planned that. Inon Zur makes perfect music, I love the soundtrack already.
