Whatever happens Bioware please don't go "well you see that bit didn't really happen, Varric made it up". I thought DA2 was pretty average but it having something abverage is better than having nothing at all. Personally I think it may just be called into action for retcons in a future game.
Please whatever you do don't make it so Varric was lying

If they decide to change something (like they rectonned Leliana's death, Oghren's death, Anders and Justice) they have an excuse now. I don't think there's anything we can do about it.

Apparently according to Wikipedia. Dallas ended in 91. But it started 3 years before I was even born. The Bobby in the Shower thing was in 86.

I knew the Who shot JR reference (...not personally. I was born in '85 *coughs*)... but I TOTALLY didn't get "Bobby's in the Shower" until I googled it and realized it was in reference to the concept of a character having dreamt the entire previous season. And -then- Gaider's joke made sense >< I was like "What the heck does shooting JR or someone being in the shower have to do with whether Varric was lying.. oohhhhh..." DA forums.
