Hello good people, I am a Mac Gamer (please no snickering) and am looking to play Baldur's Gate 1 and 2 for the first time. However, I can't find BG 1 for Mac anywhere! Can anyone help me out?

I think your only (legal) option will be to play it on Boot Camp or a similar program.

Baldur's Gate 1 is available for the Mac. I bought and played it. Unfortunately, I don't think it ever worked right with OSX.
So... if you have an OLD Mac lying around, and buy some Mac BG disks somewhere, you'll be fine.
Better solution, in this day and age? Get Parrallels or Bootcamp, install Windows XP or some other cheap Windows license, and re-buy Baldurs Gate 1 and 2 via the Good Old Games site.

Amazon UK have it for £39.99 - not a bargain compared to the Windows prices.
A 2 minute search indicated you can dual-boot OSX & Linux (I've not played with macs so don't know if parallels or bootcamp would allow Linux instead of Windows). BG works fine on Ubuntu using Wine (as does Easytutu) but whether that also applies on a Mac - don't know.

It's for classic. Your best bet (and a working one) is Wine/Crossover. That's what i do.

It does. I tested it. Works like a charm.Gate70 wrote...
