i've done this quest on my mage and rogue with no problems, so it's weird that i would have a problem with my warrior. after i talked to the dalish guy who tells me where the ironbark is i went to ironwood clearing to get it.  the thing is , i can see the wood piece that's supposed to be the quest objective, but it has no marker over it and can't be clicked on.

There's probably some darkspawn, in a corner somewhere, that you didn't kill. The marker appears after you kill all the darkspawn. Also try reloading.
