Personally, I think that Bethany was an amazing character even though she was only in about 1.5/3 of the story, and I would like to see her as a party member in DA3. They need to bring her back because I just think they didnt flesh her out enough, and that Bioware has a chance to bring IMO one of the best characters in the game. Her story was pretty straight forward and easy to understand, but it just didn't seem well thought out. Now they can give her a second chance and bring Bethany back. And please, no tearing her out for the majority of the game. If you agree with me, awesome. If you don't, then please, feel free to rant.

Given her propensity to die early in the story, plus the little to no part she plays in the plot of DA2 - doubtful.

I would dig it - Beth is one of my favorites from the new crew. However, I'd guess that she's dead in anywhere from a third to half of all playthroughs and it's highly unlikely she's got the same armor Leliana has, so I doubt she returns.

Shame, really, having a Grey Warden crack commando squad in DA3 (Warden-Nathaniel-Alistair-Bethany) would be badass.

EDIT: Note to self - stop liking the human women who have a propensity for dying plot deaths. Had to deal with the same thing in ME2, with Ashley apparantly being excised from the series while developer pet Liara gets her own freaking DLC.

I hope we get some more time with the surviving sibling in upcoming DLC. I don't want to wait until DA3. I kind of enjoy having snarky Hawke put Carver down and poor Bethany really needs to find romance.

If she were a romanceable character in DA3, my Warden would be all over that, because I dunno, it's just that neither Leliana nor Morrigan were the right girl for a Grey Warden. Leliana maybe because she was very supportive but she took the Chantry thing a little too far, and Morrigan we later find out she has a somewhat softer side, but a little too much crazy mixed in. Bethany, on the other hand, dosen't take the Maker thing too far, isn't a possessive witch like Morrigan, and is very sweet and seems like she would stick with you throughout DA3 like Varric did in DA2. Know what I mean?

it'd be cool is they rewarded us to kept our sibling alive thru the entire game somehow. and with the the anders retcon. i could see beth in da3.

Hahaha! Well, it makes her and the Mage warden cousins, or first cousins or whatever. But sadly for Mage players, they are related nonetheless. And besides, I never really had a thing for being a Mage. Big swords all the way.

Leandra's cousin, yes. I think that makes them and the current generation of Hawke's second cousins, which makes the line between "okay" and "squick" a little blurry.

Your character will ask him/her where the Champion is, and they will respond with "no idea".  BioWare style

Yup. Second cousins.
"squick" ... pff... most countries don't even care about first cousin relationships and we are in the Thedas Dung Ages. So who cares? It's Bethany! Mage Warden go for it!

Such is the might of Cousland that he can punch through the walls between universes and murder your timeline's Howe, thusly allowing that universe's Cousland to survive and punch your Warden out. 

He's kind of a big deal. 

That said, of course, mine's off in Mirror World, so I'm shipping her and Nathaniel.
