Don't combine Sandal, sex and "pie". Just don't.

Well, Bethany/Carver can never be canon, however, they could always do some DA2 DLC featuring them, and what they did during their time as a Templay/Circle Mage/Grey Warden

Why can't they be canon?

We maybe even be making assumptions that hawke is returning for the 3rd game. If Hawke is the player character than you might be able to expect just the cameo. Everyone leaves Hawke except for the love interest. So the Sibling (If they both even live!) may have at best a cameo like Kaeden/Ashley in Mass Effect 2. But the fact that both your siblings can die by the close of Act 1? That does make it far less likely for them to worry about touching on said sibling.

Well that sucks. But hey, they could just replace them with another character if they died in DA3, or maybe they'll do a thing for the story preset like they did for DA2

This one is gonna be tricky for Bioware like the deaths on the suicide mission of ME2. I know I have never let Bethany or Carver die in any play through where they weren't the one who was suppose to die in the prologue. If we are playing Hawke again in DA 3 it would be interesting to see Hawke team up again with the surviving sibling if they survive. If we are playing someone else I think it would be cool for them to be companions as long as they survived and would make interesting love interest. I will wait and see what Bioware does with ME3 and the squad mates before I really pass judgement on this whole issue though.

I wouldn't mind seeing Bethany back in DA3 As long as they don't take her from us like they did this time. Also whom I would like to see in game is Gamels daughter as a rogue using a bow for a weapon. I thought she was great as well.

I know right? But she might end up staying with Gamlen, or for others who didn't even do the quest will be all like, "who's this crazy chica? Charade? Don't know her."

I hope so, in my opinion she was the 'heart' of the party. Was a real blow to the gut when she was taken to the Mage's Circle.

Well, Nate could also die in Awakening, but if he survived, he could get a totally legit cameo in DA2.
I don't see why the same couldn't apply to Beth. Hell, even make her a companion/LI for the (new) DA3 protagonist and I'll be happy.

I wish she would appear in a future game but I don't see her or Carver being anything more than a cameo, ala Alistair, for the same reason. Too many possible endings with them. For all we know, at the end of DA2, Bethany could be :
-dead, in at least 3 ways (and we're talking cutscene death, the kind you don't get better)
-a grey warden
-the first enchanter / other important figure of a rebuilt circle (until it rebels again)
-an exiled mage rebellion leader alongside her sibling

I'd love more Bethany. But then, I'd also like to have Bethany for my mage...
