REQUEST - Ser Isaac's Armour - No Crumb-Catcher!

A mod that seems to be in demand - trying to google for such a mod brings up endless requests for it - but no one seems yet to have made one. Blender has been given me issues, but even were it working, I don't know how to open models for Dragon Age II since I haven't modded this game before (yet!).
Long story short - can someone remove (or shorten to the IRL equivalent of a couple inches or something) the crumb-catcher on Ser Isaac's breastplate? Thanks!

I don't know about getting models INTO the game, but DX Ripper is a decent way of getting models OUT of games that are friendly with DX9.

Thanks for referring to DX Ripper, I'll see if I can mod it myself.

We do actually have the tools to export DAII meshes into a format editable in 3DSMax. I don't know about Blender, though. That said, no one's actually done any mesh edits yet.

Where's this tool?

I see "da2tools" mentioned but I see no link, and searching has lead to nothing.
Better post in the thread to let daywalker know there's no link then...

I'm too poor to get 3DSmax or any pro modelling progs D: It took me ages and lots of hard drive space just setting up Blender. Any chance someone with the technology and know-how could fix it? I'm not talking about a whole redesign after all, just the remove (or shortening!) of several obnoxiously large polygons.
I use a student version of 3ds max and maya... and softimage... and mudbox, but Blender is actually owned by autodesk so there shouldnt really be a problem with exporting if you use 3ds max or blender.
The big problem is importing the edited files BACK into the game, this is where the toolkit really helped, but im sure given time soemone will find a way relitvely soon

Oh, but that would be too logical...
