Now I do have a question for which I've yet to see asked and maybe thats because no one noticed it. Why is it the protective runes like the fire warding gives so much of a varied protection on different armors. Good example here is the fire warding which gives fire protection on all your companions it gives them 2,420 fire protection on all your companions armor. But yet on Hawkes you only get 1,322 when you use it on his champion chest piece and even lots lower if you use it on say another part like the helm or gloves?

The higher/better the armor rating, the more powerful the rune becomes. This applies to all runes, and also applies to spells like Elemental weapons, which will give better buffs to a weapon like Bianca, than it will to, say, Hader's razor.

Yes but isn't The Champion's chest Piece The best armor in the game for a warrior? But yet it only gives 1,322 and your companions get 24200.
Also I just noticed something else. I had made a Vigilence rune for all members of the party and put it on everyone's armor. When I did the Justice quest after it was completed fully where you talk to Anders in his clinic when it upgrades the quest it says you obtain the "Renegades Coat" Which makes no sense since This is already Anders armor. I thought maybe that it upgraded it in some way. After checking it and comparing it to what he was wearing just before we went into the Chantry it was exactly the same. After checking out the save for the clinic once again I noticed that the Vigilence rune is gone. WTF is up with that there? Is this a bug? All the others still have theirs its just on Anders its no longer on there.

Indeed, but have you compared its armor rating to Isabella's, Avaline's and Varric's armor? It doesn't even come close.Redneck1st wrote...
