Let's see, a female version of Alistair would be a whiny virgin with a rather large inferiority complex, which she tries to mask behind some pre-school level humor. No thanks.

This. Not that I don't like Alistair, but someone like Leliana as a "good girl" and someone like Morrigan as a "bad girl" is perfectly sufficient. If Leliana didn't decide to share her past with you, you would hardly notice she may be less innocent and pure than she looks.

This one is going to be tough without spoilers, will try however...

Morrigan is certainly not evil, she's just pretending to be like Flemeth, but in reality she's very vulnerable and a big softie (as shows during banther with dog). She often provides very good reasons why she disagrees with things and she mostly disagrees with helping people out of practicality. She's also a big fan of freedom and is not a big fan of demons.
In one conversation she even shows some regret for Templars that she and her mother killed when they where hunting them...

Its hard to describe someone as good/evil, I doubt any of the characters in this game are truely good or truely evil which is good because truely evil characters are unrealistic and unbelievable. Morrigan is dark, she's practical and is tough but under all that she's also vulnerable and soft hearthed.

I think Kate Mulgrew described her best when she said that "Morrigan is innocent. She is beautiful. She is vulnerable."

What Morrigan does at the end is far from "good" - especially so if you are romancing her.

This remains to be seen, we still don't know why this is so important to her. I'm sure your character would have had a similar reaction if she blocked you from reaching your destiny (ending the blight).

Would you prefer a female version of Oghren or Sten?

Hmmm.

That would be quite funny to see, actually. But yeah I don't see what you mean by "good girl", I find Leliana a "good girl" and she isn't that helpless.

I think bioware did a good job for the romance options, you get to choose whatever your preference.

Like everyone else am greedy so if there was more options that would be great but I don’t see how a good girl would fit in the team, we need killers in our team and there is no way killers would be considered good.

Doesn't mean they wouldn't have a concience or they wouldn't have generally good intentions, which is what Leliana has.

Yes but Leliana also enjoys violence (don’t want to give spoilers) and that is not supposed to be good. It would depend on you’re definition of good I suppose.

Don't wanna give spoilers also, but she seemed pretty bummed about voilence and whole good/bad at one point in the camp.

hehe,Sounds to me like some people wants a naive, whiny, innocent little girl maiden who cries on their shoulder... I would not take such a person into my party

Meh, give me a she-devil with a sword and strong personality to back it up. Leiliana got intressting because of her past and her creepy attitude at times. Had she only been a religious nice girl, she would have stayed at the camp making dinner, :D

Morrigan as well has her charms, she is a product of her upbringing and as chaotic as the wilderness itself. I don't consider her evil.. If this has been DnD I would have labeled her a true neutral.. and changed her class to Druid. She is a person I would like to know. She kinda feels like a crosover between Jaheira and Vicona... in attitude that is.

Yes, I like Leliana, lets just say she tries to be good in an imperfect world.

Hmmm.

No, I won't. I brought up Alistair because the OP likened his idea of a "good girl" to the female version of Alistair. I for one think that would be a terrible idea.

However, I agree that the game needs better female companions. I find both Wynne and Leliana to be incredibly annoying. Thank god for Morrigan. You may ask why?

Well, Wynne is always nagging and lecturing, and sticking her nose in your business. Yeah, I understand that this is what old people do, but then couldn't they make her a little younger. You already get one mentor in Duncan,  you don't need another.

Leliana is charming at times, but her constant preaching is increadibly irritating. Maker this, Maker that..God! Would you just shut up! Enough with the Maker.

Then we got Leliana. Religous... kind... at first glance. Of course when you find out she used to be a spy who specialized in becoming whatever type of woman her target desired and practically boasts she can bag any man. File that under "ThingsI would have rather not known about." Oh and she flat out prefers women,

Why is this a bad thing? Imagine the roleplay possibilities. And threesomes.

I know I'm a bit late but... have you tried this? You can't get Lelianna in a three-some, I should know, I tried with Alistair and Lelianna, that was a no go, and Lelianna likes Alistair the most out of everybody

I fail to see how a "Dark fantasy rpg" needs moral pricks running around, Leliana is the closest thing your going to get to a "good" girl considering how much she cries over you pissing on the urn of sacred ashes.

If you want to romance with a 'good girl' romance with her, thats the best you'll get im afraid.

threesomes, no... but she can get into a foursome (2 girls and 2 guys or 3 girls and a guy.. and Alistair is not in there)

I actually like how they portrayed both Morrigan and Leliana. I just think people forget how much more complex women can be then men.

Like the layers of an onion they are.;)

Well three girls is impossible unless modded, but I didn't think Lelianna actually liked Morrigan or Zevrahn enough to......

Oh you <3

I liked that all the characters had their emotional baggage. And if you really have problems romancing Morrigan or Leliana with a male character...well, I'm sure Zevran wouldn't mind the company. ;)

Alistar fits the Mr. Nice guy Bioware romance option to a T. He's funny, sensitive, a virgin... But as we changed tracks for the for the female's of bioware we get a whole different story. One's a seductress, who finds any kind thing you do throughout the course of the game (even saving people) a bad thing. Morrigan hints that she uses romance to use people and despises talks of love. Obviously not our good girl there, hell her allure is that she's the exact opposite of that. Then we got Leliana. Religous... kind... at first glance. Of course when you find out she used to be a spy who specialized in becoming whatever type of woman her target desired and practically boasts she can bag any man. File that under "ThingsI would have rather not known about." Oh and she flat out prefers women, even if you are playing a male character. As a female all you need to do is get her relation points up and she will come after you, admiring your characters hair which opens up conversation options to move the relationship to "interested" (There are 3 steps apperently, like, interested, love) As a male if you don't flat out flirt with her early on in the relationship you get stuck in the friend zone until much later in the game when her side story is accomplished, and if you know who the character her side story is about that just further fuels my point.

I really wish there was a normal, not bizarr person in the game as a romance option. Maybe a Dalish elf who wants to explore the civiilized world? An anti hero thief or pick pocket whose really just does what she must to survive? I dont know...

if only shale was romanceable. :o
