No. They might turn it into another WoW. I find WoW extremely boring so no thank you. And, IMO, Bioware write the best and most interesting stories.

If Blizzard had made the game, it wouldn't have been even close to the same. Would it have been better? Maybe, maybe not. It certainly would've been a different experience, but I'd rather keep Dragon Age with Bioware.

Black Isle made both Fallout 1 & 2 and those were amazing. Still, Obsidian is not really Black Isle....

I think most of the people really responsible for Fallout (at least the original) were already gone by the time it was really Black Isle?

Oh! Is that true? You made my day sir. Now i only have to wait 5 years :D I hope they scrap WoW lore lol

I don't think they've actually confirmed anything (they never confirmed StarCraft II until they announced it, but you sort of always knew they'd do it someday). But it probably won't happen for a *long* time (StarCraft II expansions, Diablo III and expansions, another WoW expansion, and the new MMO with all-new IP is apparently all they're concentrating on now).

no thanks, if blizzard was handling it the game would not have come out until 2015, and even then it would have looked so cartoony it was made for 10 year olds.

blizzard games are weak.... they just happen to appeal to the millions of sheeple out there.

Blizzard? That's a huge LOL, especially after Cataclysm overhaul... tbh, tis fun to play WoW til lvl 60, oh they actually took many things from BW RP philosophy, but please don't even think about Blizz putting their paws onto something that was created by BW (shame that u hit Outland then and u're pretty much screwed by boredom... tho maybe u cursed all this already 'cause these forums turned into Blizz whiners festival area. I always enjoyed BW forums 'cause they were place for good discussion, good laugh, civil talk and good ideas... now, they're more like Blizz forums abusive sheit. So, no, don't even invoke more of that.

i would have to agree with the above post as well, at least concerning the blizzard game communities.

you want to see some of the most vile and socially inept people on the planet? go play a blizzard game, they are everywhere.... its their target audience.

At least Blizzard would have taken the time to develop the game. You don't see Activision pushing Blizzard around in terms of deadlines.

blizzard makes a lot of money taking advantage of the sheeple they target for their consumers, why would activision push them around?

it doesnt change the fact that anyone outside of the wow-commune usually thinks blizzard games are crap, thinks blizzard community is crap, and doesnt want to have anything to do with them.

that wow-commune is going strong though, no denying it, they got the sheeple stabled.

Why not? At least then we would have that always frustrating but oh so necessary "it's done when it's done" way of doing things that is the staple of companies like Blizzard, Valve and a given company known for making amazing RPGs like Knights of the Old Republic, the Baldur's Gate trilogy, Mass Effect 1 and 2...

At least they have a better philosophy than this new Bioware and their "milk a franchise for all its worth while the name still sells". Good God, that's just sad...

Speak for yourself. I don't play WoW, yet I don't think Starcraft, Warcraft or Diablo are crap. They are perfectly polished, solid games.

I'm fine with Bioware developing Dragon Age, but the problem is that they can't be giving games like this such a short development cycle just so that it's out there. I know people will always complain when something starts taking too long to come out, but I'd rather wait and have a well-polished game rather than one that is poorly designed with bugs and glitches galore, recycled backdrops, and a rushed story just so they can complement it with DLC and then having to constantly patch it to give players a passing feeling that the bugs and glitches will be fixed and bring the game up to where it should have been in the first place.

After having played through Dragon Age 2 three times already and have been made aware first hand just how craptastic it is, it makes me worried for Mass Effect 3 because I don't want to see that wind up the same way that Dragon Age 2 did. I don't want to jump to conclusions, but if you ever want proof that EA is ruining Bioware's reputation for producing great games, Dragon Age 2 could inevitably be declared the shining example of it.

WRONG.  Why the heck do people still believe this?

Activision are CONTROLLED by Vivendi, who also own Blizzard.

The merger was between Vivendi (who own Blizzard) and Activision.

Vivendi own 51% of the newly merged company.

Meaning, Blizzard is far closer to controlling Activision than the other way around.

Blizzard's success speaks for itself. They've got nothing left to prove. Personally, I long ago stopped playing World of Warcraft, in fact, I HATE thinking about how much time I put into that game.  But I still give them grudging praise, they know how to take their time to develop a game and test it fully.

Starcraft 2 I still play, and I will buy Diablo 3 when it comes out, as undoubtedly many others here as well.

LOL - do you actually believe that?

Blizzard games are some of the highest selling PC games in the world.  Every game they've made since Starcraft has sold over 10 million copies.  That's more than 3x what DA:O sold.

Blizzard is without a doubt one of the most successful game companies in the world.  Whether or not you personally like their games is utterly irrelevant - but don't come here and spew your trash about 'everybody' hating their games - when they have far better sales than almost any other PC games in existance.

~sigh~ Has the discussion already deteriorated to this level?

And people say Blizzard's community is bad.

Dude, when your response revolves around pulling the "Hitler card" out of nowhere, you have no right to question other people's intelectual level.

Just saying...

No you weren't, you responses were strawmen. Then you resorted to a ridiculous comparison. If you can make your arguements without resorting to petty insults, then more people will take you seriously.

Hell, I don't even like Blizzard that much, but I find myself defending them because your arguements are just not rational.

not as naive as the person who missed the point of my post.

anyways, apparently i am indeed surrounded by less than brilliant minds, so i will take my leave and you can enjoy your cesspool of ignorance.

though the blizzard defenders lack of perception or common sense does sort of amusingly reinforce what i was mentioning earlier with the term "sheeple".

enjoy your semblance of life i suppose.
