Would you have preferred if Dragon Age 2 was handled by Blizzard?

BG release date 30 November 1998
BG 2 released date September 26, 2000
Yes there has been many changes in graphics and such but technology has also advance for the creators.

Yeah, well, I admit I was needlessly insulting, and I apologize about it.Sgt McKill wrote...
This is my opinion. Everyone is entitled to express how they feel about those games. I am not an idiot, I just have a different opinion than you.
But seriously, DA2 a "masterpiece" and Fallout 3 better than New Vegas ?
I can totally admit someone liking DA2 (I had some moment I enjoyed too) and I actually really liked Fallout 3... But it's a HUGE step to jump to talk of "masterpiece", and New Vegas is just like Fallout 3, but a million times better in dialogues, scenario and world building...

I still think it'll be best If Bioware made DA2 without EA bugging on their back.

Blizzard is controlled by Activision, who I depise way more than EA.
not even close... EA doesn't have a fraction of say to what goes on with Blizzard.
Love Diablo and SC, but I like Bioware for how they are.
But then I also liked DA2 so I have a hard time seeing eye to eye with the majority around here sadly.

I think you meant to say Activision instead of EA?
Anyway, the only reason Blizzard is left alone by Activision is that they have a licence to print money, if and when that changes Bobby Kotick will stop playing nice with Blizzard, count on it.
I also dont subscribe to any theory that a different owner or publisher would make DA a different game, they're not the ones with the ideas, after all.

Why such a random question?
Because OP's question is random as well.

What if Bioware had Blizzard's attention to detail, overall quality, and polish?
Rather that taking it literally as, what if Blizzard made Dragon Age 2. Obviously Blizzard's plot writers could never make a game as compelling as DA:O - though to be honest, they could possibly do a better job than the DA2 plot IMO.

Lol. This is such a fail post.
- Longer Development time --> GOOD.
- weak story full of clichés: impossible to beat DA2 in this aspect. Blizz stories are great....
- more money in ad than in game: Actually, SC2 was much less advertised than DA2. I have the feeling this is already the case anyways, DA2 was nothing but marketing....
- DAO with slightly better graphics: Would be great.
- lots of quests, no immersion: Can´t be worse than now
-Longer development time = good, it would've helped da2 for sure, but unnecessarily long development time for a game with so little new content that should take a little more than a year to make, eh not so much.
-clichés/story: I disagree, da2 has an interesting storyline, it has politics, intrigue, multiple threats and moral questions. DA:O's "here's a bad dragon, kill it", was much worse, but had great depth and detail. Blizz has silly stories, but that's a new thing, the first games of theirs had kinda good stories, but they keep ruining them. Worst offender: Warcraft lore->wow lore
-marketing: You're wrong, blizz pumps marketing like a disfunctional toilet. I've seen that first hand.
-DA:O with slightly better graphics would be horribly unimaginative. Much like SC2. The fact that you'd play a game twice given a facelift, rather than face a few changes, tells more than i want to know.
-quests/immersion: yes and no. The quests were good. There was a picture somewhere claiming that while BG had great sidequests, like killing a dragon, DA2 has stuff like "gather 10 whatevers". Not true. We actually had a dragon as a secondary quest boss. You have a lot of fun quests and there is no grinding.
But i'm stupid for thinking that i can change your hater hive-mind, so why not tell me that it's a "GoW-CoD ripoff with the illusion of choice, butten of awesums lolol"

I'd have prefered the Dr's never sold BW to EA to begin with. That alone set the evolution of rpg's back quite a few years.
I wouldn't prefer Blizzard making DA2. I love Blizz's games but they make a different kind of game than BW makes. Ideally I'd have prefered BW taking the time needed to make the DA2 they wanted to make rather than making a game to get a quick influx of cash to fund the end of TOR's development.
What I would pie in the sky prefer would be for Bethesda to have made the game world and the mechanics, BW to write the story and the characters do all the VO and cinematics, and have Blizz do all the QA and polishing. That would be the most epic game ever.

Activision Blizzard was created through the merger of Activision and Vivendi Games(Blizzard)Teh Blasta wrote...
Last time I checked "Blizzard" was Activision Blizzard, and being that BioWare is a subsidiary of EA I don't really understand this thread whatsoever. This whole thread is like asking "what if Rockstar, subsidiary to Take2, developed the game?", it's never going to happen. Plus even if Rockstar developed it, you would have to play it on the 360.
Activision and Blizzard still exist as separate entities
while BW was bought by EA and BW doesnt have they say anymore for Example ME2 and DA2

DA2 being made by Bioware in control by EA with a development cycle of 18 months, getting streamlined, cut down, content re-used and being made shorter. But at least, you get your game fast.
Or DA2 being made by Blizzard with a development cycle of over 10 years, getting bigger, more epic and better but.............TEN YEARS IN THE MAKING!!! But at least, you get your game awesome.
I want Dragon age games to be good, not terrible made by a terrible company with a terrible publisher like Blizzard and Activison
