Apologies if this has been asked and answered before, but a quick search of the forums didn't turn up any answers.
When it comes time to import an ME2 save file into ME3, will we only be able to import a "game end" save, as was the case with ME1? The reason I ask is that after I completed ME2, I chose the option to "continue the game" so I could pick up assignments I might have missed, talk to my crew about finishing the mission, and so on. As DLC came out, I loaded those post-completion save files to play the DLC. If I import my game as it is into ME3, will it recognize that I played the DLC and know about the choices I made, even though they happened "after" winning the game? Or will I need to go back and re-play the game, making sure to include "Lair of the Shadow Broker" and "Arrival" at some point before I go on the final mission, in order for ME3 to know about how I played those heavily plot-significant episodes?
Either way is fine -- it's not exactly terrible to have to play the game again, if that's what will be required -- but I'm curious to know whether this is something I should plan on getting done before ME3 comes out.
