 I'm about 12 hours in and a bit earlier I did Anders quest then I get a message saying go talk to him then he hits on the character it's weird. I was like WTF? how come none of the female characters hit on you? I only care about romancing Isabella lol. Also picked the option you're making me uncomftorable then Anders starts complaining about it

He only hits on you once and doesn't do it again if you tell him to stop. He complains because he's an emo type who doesn't handle rejection well. He'll get over it.

Aw.... personally, I'm more bothered by his incessant whining about mage rights than his sexuality. Hell, he even wanted us to "downplay the blood mage angle" on a mission. Selfish jerk.

Anyway... that's what I wanted to say. I don't care that he's gay.

Interestingly he's gay if Hawke is male and he's straight if Hawke female. In any case, he is annoying indeed.

I could actually put up with him better in Awakening.  Less whiny and obessively compulsed, and had a comeback to everything Ogren threw at him.

He was the happy annoying in Awakening. DA2 hes winey, emo annoying. Emo annoying is a lot worse.

This is true. I know of plenty of people who want to lob him upside the head during sarcastic playthroughs. Yet they keep doing it.

I mostly choose the sarcastic options for Hawke

I think I've played this game so many times that I just don't see him as anything but gay... at first it was odd, but I guess I'm used to it.  Fenris also flirts with men too... not as aggressively, but there are a lot of small hints that result in a "flirt back" option.  It's just the nature of the game... if you don't like it, it's fine (IMO).  It's easy to ignore once you get used to it.

I can't stand Anders. He's a self-centered jerk who won't admit he has a serious problem. I honestly can't see why anyone would want to romance him. Apparently though Yahtzee romanced Anders while he was reviewing Dragon Age II.

Anders' romance is one of the nicest and most passionate. It's just a shame it comes attached to a mad abomination.
