I was just replaying DAO one last time before I buy DA2 next week and putting together my canon version of things. I am currently in Redcliffe clearing out some undeads and I read that my choice with what to do with conner makes a difference in DA2 but I couldn't find out what.
Could someone please tell me what the different outcomes are based on if I killed him, blood sacrfice Isolde, or get the circle of magi to help? Normally I do the last option due to rep with Alistair and such, but I would actually prefer to kill Isolde this time because in the end of the game at the Landsmeet from what Arl Eamon says it sounds like she continues to lie to him and he never finds out his son is a mage which I think could lead to further disastors.
Anyway, so if someone could help me make this decision by providing me with information about DA2 that would be great, thanks.
What are the future effects of my choices with Conner?

First, it's wrong: Connor does get sent to the Circle if he lives. Second, I don't think that any of them have a DA2 effect.

http://dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Connor
At the very bottom of the page, it's listed as the last of the triva notes.
"When importing to Dragon Age 2, one of the important choices that the player makes in DA:O is the fate of Connor."
Edit: And could you please show me where it shows clearly that Conner goes to the circle? I know that Bann Teagan says it will happen right after you save Conner, but at the end of the game in the Landsmeet from what Arl Eamon says it sounds like he doesn't even know his son is a mage. It's not uncommon in this game for characters to say that one thing will happen and then something else happens which is why so far I am still uncertain.

If someone who has played through DAO2 and knows what I am talking about could give me the information I need then I would be very grateful.

I saved Connor and saw no mention of him in DA2. Can't say more than that.

I've also read (I'll try to dig out exact post somewhere later) one of the writers saying that while some decisions aren't outright awknowledged in DAII it doesn't mean they aren't tracked for the future.
On the subject of Connor, haven't seen or heard a hair about him in DAII during 3 of my playthroughs.

Thanks guys, this all helps.
Oh, how I wish there was a way for me to do the circle of magi path but still kill Isolde. Damnit, all those people died because of her and I want her to be deaders for my canon version. I guess if it doesn't really matter I might as well make her live so Alistair doesn't cry.

I wasn't able to find out any information on what effects the difference choices concerning connor would have and I ended up doing Jowan's blood ritual so that Isolde would die and advising Arl Eamon to execute Jowan.
It was difficult to make those choices, but I feel they were the best in both the long term and overall for all people concerned.
Also, I just realized I kept misspelling connor as conner, my bad.

It isn't important in DA2 - none of the flags are. Still, we can hope for future games, right? I'd just go with the decision you morally agree with and let the consequences come as they come.

There's dialog for Connor with Teagan in DA2 though. I don't know if he actually shows up though. I haven't heard of anyone seeing him. Maybe it's bugged.

Hehe, the only bit of Teagan I saw was when he came to the hanged man to pick up drunk Alistair

Its a shame that barely anything from DAO gets mentioned in DA2. Oh well still can't wait to finally buy DA2, just needs to make sure my Ultimate DAO save is complete first.

Really? Barely mentioned? Kind of makes me feel like there is no point, but I am going to do it anyway, I want my "as-close-to-perfect personal-canon-version" saved so I can import it, even if all that ends up happening is the champion of feralden gets mentioned as a dwarf.
