Achievements on Xbox 360 have a Covert Action achievement ="rescue Dr. Amanda Kenson without attracting hostile attention."

Anybody know how?? I don't care about the achievement per se... but it appears it is, or should be possible, to rescue the Dr. and escape without firing a shot.  I can get to the room where she is being interrogated, and as soon as I open the door, a cut scene starts, and alarms go off during the cut scene - gun fight is on! No more sneaky sneaky.:(
Maybe it is because I kill all the guards enroute to the cell??

Yeah to get the achievement you need to avoid engaging with the Batarians en route to the prison cell and also avoiding stuff like security beams and walking in front of view of them. Simply look for the alternative routes.

There is another door into the interrogation room.  Take that one.  It's the farthest away.

You also have to not kill everyone on the way to the cell. Varren excepted though.

It's very easy. You can shoot the varren and on your way out you can (and have to) shoot enemies. You just need to get to the prisoner without being detected and that's really easy. Here's a video: achievementhunter.com/archive/episode.php

It's also nice to get the achievement and then load an earlier save to massacre the batarian prison guards.

One Gotcha: When I got the achievement I wasn't notified. I replayed 5 times going "what the heck". I gave up, went back to the captain's cabin, and there was the achievement.

I ran into a reload glitch during my first run that would flag me as 'detected' even when I reloaded the sequence. YMMV

I think for best results, you should try to do a single perfect stealth run to get the achievement. This shouldn't be hard at all, especially after feeling out the route beforehand.

That would explain what happened to me. I did save and reload a couple of times just because I wanted to check out the rooms that I could not enter without getting spotted.

I did not get detected by anything but the varren on my "real" playthrough and still did not get the achievement.

Again, I wish they would leave stealth to the games that actually have decent stealth mechanics.

I was OK with the Stealth Achievement in theory. I wish that you would have had to work harder to get it though. Maybe some puzzle pieces, duck behind a robotic truck and walk along, whatever to get it.

Either way though it was still nice to get through without "have to kill everything" sort of approach.

In theory maybe. But when I don't get spotted (I didn't see it anyway and I was VERY careful) and still don't get the achievement, well I just tend to get a bit grumpy.

Also because this is the only achievement I am missing for ME2 :)

FYI: The game didn't notify me of the achievement [maybe I turned off messages??]. I didn't notice the achievement until I looked at the achievements in the captains cabin.

If you just do a quick "restart mission" you should be able to get the achievement quickly. You can even quit after you jailbreak the Doc because there's no need to go further.

Nah I checked and it's not there. But I'll just restart it. Just wish I knew exactly why I did not succeed the first time.

When you get outside, make sure that the Batarian on the stairs does not see you..that's the only achievement breaking thing that comes to mind.

Careful with cloak. Had a few reloads because a Batarian that was out of my LoS became alarmed when I cloaked to kill a Varren.

Did they actually turn on you afterwards? Because all the enemies shout something when Shepard cloaks, regardless if they're aware of him or not. They don't actually do anything if they don't see you. I got the achievement regardless, because I didn't engage the Batarians.

Yeah, my first run was sort of because of this.

Somehow the two batarians outside saw me through the wall. Some weird thing about where the were allowed me to target them while going up the stairs... I didn't make any sounds or anything but hear them bring up their weapons and alert everyone that i was there.

I didn't even know about the achievement so it wasn't that big a deal. But I remembered the instance and was very careful to not even look at the wall on my way up the stair case the second run through.

There's a guard on the door on top of the stairs that shouldn't be there. I saw achievement videos to make sure and he's not in the videos but, whenever I open the door, there he is. His back is to me and he supposedly doesn't see me, but no achievement. Bug? :(

Reloaded the mission, still had the guard. Rebooted the xbox, loaded a save prior to the mission, goodbye guard, hello achievement!

As I mentioned earlier it is bugged. I did a perfect run and did not get it. But I did save and load. Later I did a run without reloading at any point and got it.
