My annoying complaint of the week : why does male Hawke have to be a muscle mass when fem Hawke gets to be normally fit ?

What I thought. Muscle mass??? Where? I mean, he looks a bit more fit than the average male. The TC is correct: this is an annoying complaint.

3) Other games provide different body builds. So it's not impossible.
Talked about this earlier in the thread, but its worth repeating, over and over.
Should have been to easy, just add a blendshape to allow arms/legs get larger, and potentially a blend texture as well for tone.
Most armours already got a minimum strength, and they could be built to fit that, for both female and male Hawk.
You would end up making the animations even more generic animations, since they now have to fit more body types, but then some more animation wouldn't be too much to ask for.

There's a reason why soldiers are in good shape, and not skinny.

lol what're you talking about femhawke is pretty curvy like a model or something... she's not 'normal' either.
I don't mean ugly normal, I mean fit but in a normal way. Femhawke doesn't look like she's on steroids, that's what I mean. I just find it cliched that the male character always has to have unnecessarily huge arms. Makes him look more like a guy who spent too much time at the gym than an actual warrior, let alone a mage.
warriors bring heavy swords and heavy armors.....so it's normal for them to have a muscular body.....every medieval movie in the history had muscular warriors....if your problem is about mages...than blame bioware cause they shared the same body model for all classes....
Actually... In real medievel times, armor & swords were quite light. A tipacal browd sword waighed around 3 pounds, while the armor was articulated as to to be very easy to move in. So... Warriors wouldnt of needed muscles for armor but they had them rather as to be able to react faster & fight for longer periods of time.
You have obviously never put on chain mail. It's freaking heavy...

I don't think having more muscle mass necessarily means that you're fitter than a thinner person... just a guess.
Uh.. yes it does.

Having more muscle mass just means you are more physically stronger, not necessarily more fit and athletic.

Actually, Jabba has a point to a certain degree. While a bodybuilder type would be able to lift more, since that's basically what they've trained themselves to do, they're incapable of running faster and longer than the skinny guy trained to be a professional runner/swimmer/whatever.

That is true. But judging by his other post (the one he made directly after it) his "thinner" people seem to mean average people, as opposed to athletes.

Yeah, that is why I said to a certain degree. His initial idea was right, but his actual reasoning behind it was a bit off.

I think his muscular arms are pretty normal..especially for a warrior who wields heavy swords and shields. Lifting those weapons are bound to build up muscle after so many years of it.
The problem is that Mage and Rogue Male hawks are also of the same muscular build, and Female Hawks are all of the same light build, one that would fit for Male Hawk Mages, and partly Rogues as well, but not for a strength 50 Female Warrior Hawk at all ~
They really need to losen up those one-size fits all ideas over at BioWare.
That said a female Hawk in the stonehammer armour, or later the champion amour, does look decent. Nor do I want oversized bodybuilders like Resident Evil V arms with triceps that can win wars on their own - more like -- vv

The reason we had knights in plate dying from being unable to get up was because of the deep mud at Agincourt, not because their armor in general would prevent them from getting up.
Otherwise your one big weakness would be getting knocked down. They wouldn't ever have to bother trying to hurt you through your armor, they'd just need to get two guys to tackle you.and you'd be done.

If you can't see that I'd suggest you move to another town ;D
Besides,I wouldn't care if male Hawke actually was"over the top" (which he's not) simply because then maybe they'd see that women complaining about this happening with female characters aren't just being oversensitive (especially since all the post I have seen on this topic by guys so far have all been incredibly whiny)

the male Warrior is fine, and Carver is too - Fenris is actually more of an issue, but anyway ~ Lyrium tattoos.
The problem is more that females with strength 50 has so much less muscle mass than a male mage, or warrior, with a strength of 10.
& Female warriors, unless you are playing with some strange build will get two thirds to half of their stat points to strength, yet they got twig like arms, while male mages and rogues won't place anything on Strength and they got more bulk.
& It's mostly lazy design from BioWares side.
