By the way, I've yet to actually see someone on the forum(till now) say that they couldn't use the Mako's thrusters to jump over enemy projectile attacks.

It was easy as HELL for me and for all people I know personally who've played ME1.

I find it utterly unfathomable that someone could possibly be that uncoordinated.

Do note however that if any of you reading this do indeed have the problem of not being able to jump over said projectiles, I am not trying to insult you.

I just...........I can't. I can't put it together. It was just so EASY.

Please, give me your special ocular implants that allows you to slow down time. What else is next, someone can avoid gunfire by doing acrobatics 24/7?

Do you play any type of sports related activity?  Baseball, soccer, tag-football, ping-pong ... ?

It wasn't THAT hard.. I mean.. You could see the rockets coming from far away, you can't dodge all of them by jumping, but a regular turret rocket could be dodged if you kept moving, or if you prefer by using a thruster jump.  Obviously, trying to thruster jump over a rocket at close range, you'll probably have a smaller success rate than you would from being farther away.  Personally, I prefered using the thrusters to jump on top of an enemy, just for fun.

All I know is large planet vehicular exploration better be a part of ME3 or else I will be severely disappointed. I didnt mind its absence in ME2 minus the Overlord DLC because the game was so awesome even without it and I had my fair share of problems with it in ME1, but I wont be as tolerante this time around since its the final game in the saga. It need to have a fairly large presence int he game and it better be superior to what was in ME1 and 2.

Uh, that's all I can do, just side-strafe by blind luck. I found jumping over rockets to be superfluous (i.e. NOT NECESSARY and adds in MORE UN-NEEDED VARIABLES). I'm not an expert mathematician that can just go "oh yeah, jump when rocket is at this distance at this exact time period."

First everyone whine to take Mako from the game, now when it's gone - people started to whine to bring it back.
I'll step back and will watch how this will evolve. :)

The Hammerhead is made of so much fail it isn't funny. It either needs a serious upgrade or simply needs to go. It really is that bad, IMO. As much as I want vehicle sections and exploration back, I'd rather have none at all that have to put up with that POS again.

This is so true.... B)

I want upgraded vehicles in general, if they're going to make a comeback at all.

The Hammerhead needs shields. Also, there is no reason why it should shake like that when loading cargo into the back.

The Mako needs struts. WTH kind of offroad vehicle uses NO DAMPING whatsoever??

Not to mention more realistic and believable.  I think it's far more likely we'd be exploring "dead and lifeless" planets than the other way around.

Sure, there are a lot of craphole planets in the ME universe. But craphole planets with a reason for Shepard to land on them?

Well, it's not like we were just landing on these things for the hell of it. If you were properly roleplaying the game, then you'd only go to them as you received the missions relating to them, since every one had at least one mission on it. That's how I always played it. That also makes more sense than ME2's N7 worlds where with a couple of exceptions in the form of emails you never even got the quests unless you were just randomly scanning and EDI found an anomaly.

I am a huge fan of the Mako and the vacant planets with nice views. I would like to visit baron planets just for the nice vistas. Please bring back the Mako.

Bring it back, but please... less bouncing all over the place. Planet scanning is tedious...

I hated the Mako, one little dip or hill in the terrain would send it careening off in some strange direction. I love the idea of planet exploration, but the Mako made it mind-numbingly annoying for me. The Hammerhead is a much better exploration vehicle and I actually enjoyed piloting it. As many have said, slap some better weapons and armor on the Hammerhead and I'm gold.

A wonderfull franchise wasted forever

I just did my 10th or 12th play-through but first time on the PC version (thanks to the free copy of ME2 given out to DA2 owners.)

One of the really fun things I did was use the console mod to activate

upgradevehicle 6 vehthrusterforcebooster

This makes the make awesome fun. It turns it into a hybrid makko/hammer head but better. It was fun flying around the planets in what was a cross between a lunar lander and chitty chitty bang bang.

The naming of this command makes it clear that they intended on giving some nice upgrades for the Makko in ME1. It is too bad they never made it in.

If you haven't tried this it is hella fun and removes almost all the tedious parts of exploring and moving around planets.

Its not that hard, dude. You can see the rockets and pulses coming at you from far away. It was so simple to just jump over them.

The pulses were especially easy to jump over since they came by so slow.

Personally I want to fly one of those kickass gunships we destroyed in ME2. They were awesome.

I still loved the big mass accelerator cannon the Mako has on the top.  Firing that thing at a crowd of people and watching them disintegrate was always rewarding.

The only bad things associated with the Mako from my point of view were the fractal mountain ranges. Mountains are not meant to be needle sharp. Not anywhere in the galaxy.

Agree with who said "simply don't explore". Now, exploring resources with MAKO is way more fun than that probing crap!

If they would ever bring back the Mako in a generally fixed and improved form, they would have to call something else than Mako because many people lack any kind of objectivity and would hate it, even when there is nothing wrong with it in it's new state.

I loved exploring with it. Honestly, and this isn't a jab at anybody, but I never understood why some people had trouble using it. It was versatile and fun. Please bring it back, BioWare.

It used to amaze me hearing people complain all the time about how difficult the Mako was to control in Mass Effect. I mean did they just try to drive over the steepest part of a mountain range without looking for a good way up first or something? It could be time consuming collecting minerals on planets but I had no problems driving the Mako. Planet exploring aside, not once did I ever crash the Mako and die during any of the main missions. The Mako actually did its job well on Feros, Noveria, Virmire, llos.

The Firewalker pack by comparison for Mass Effect 2 was so badly designed. I could not quite believe how rubbish it was! Over the years I had come to expect very high standards from Bioware. Overlord was still a good DLC however even with all the stupid parts where I had to jump around in the Hammerhead. I think ditching the Mako would have felt a lot better if they would have at least replaced it with something half decent. And lastly if there is going to be zero planet exploration yet again in ME3, at least this means the Hammerhead wont be back!
