A romance with Sten could be interesting, but being a Sten it is possible that he has forsworn romance - or at least taken a vow of chastity. After all, I got the impression that a Sten must have a singleminded devotion to their task, and a romance would get in the way of that. Also, am I the only one who got the impression that, in becoming a Sten, he foreswore his name (or something similar)? That could be the reason why we never learn it - because he no longer has a name.

And for those of you who were wondering, the party conversation between Sten and Morrigan about Qunari mating:
Morrigan: You seem so deep in thought, my dear Sten. Thinking of me, perhaps? The two of us, together at last?
Sten: Yes.
Morrigan: I... what did you say?
Sten: You will need armor, I think. And a helmet.  And something to bite down on. How strong are human teeth?
Morrigan: How strong are my teeth?
Sten: Qunari teeth can bite through leather, wood, even metal given time. Which reminds me, I may try to nuzzle.
Morrigan: Nuzzle?
Sten: If that happens, you'll need an iron pry bar. Heat it in a fire, first, or it may not get my attention.
Morrigan: Perhaps it would be better if we did not proceed.
Sten: Are you certain? If it will satisfy your curiosity...
Morrigan: Yes. Yes, I think it is best.

Please let's keep this thread spoilers-free????? :/ I want to discuss this argument WITHOUT getting the plot spoiled for me, thankyouverymuch.

Anyway, while I know that Sten is not Sten's real name, I still haven't gotten that far as to know if his title has actually a specific rank meaning, so I can't judge if it is a title that may imply chastity or something similar.
But, the impression I got, is that qunari aren't probably very keen on mating with the other races. I found it more veritable that Sten would possibly withold any romance feeling because the player is not a qunari and is not even a follower of the Qun.


Oh, and about Wynne. She is so attractive I just wish the game authors didn't even try to pretend she was old.

Yeah...Sten might only want to Romance another Qunari (saying that he hasn't forsworn Romance altogether). Which now keeps he hoping that BioWare might create an expansion.....

Sten does not consider you to be a woman, becuase you are a warrior, and among the Qunari only men are warriors.

He pretty much comes right out and tells you this.

So yeah, I don't see things working out between him and the Warden. I actually prefer when a game has characters with fixed traits rather than having everyone be single target-sexual for you.

I agree! I think it's because he's a badass when he has to be, yet he's also so compassionate and dignified, and he has a rare but believable combination of integrity and humility. Of course, he would never be so unprofessional or unethical as to pursue a relationship with a recruit, but I could easily imagine some of my Wardens developing a harmless crush on him as a mentor figure.

I also found Riordan quite sexy – he's rugged and gentlemanly at the same time, and I could listen to his voice all day – I never realized French accents could be so sexy! I always think it's a shame he doesn't get more screentime, because some of my Wardens would definitely romance him if they had the chance!
