Lightmap rendering weird

I'm having an issue with the lightmap showing up really wierd.
So I created a new level, outdoor, 256x256 and left the rest of the settings as the default.

I defined an exportable area:

I set the sunlight direction to be almost straight down.

Then I clicked the "Render Lightmaps" button. No errors.

The result is this:

So as you can see there are many problems:
Only the bottom left corner is lit with the correct brightness.
The chunks surrounding it are strangely dark.
There are weird black dots everywhere.

Does anyone know how I can fix this?

You need to first set an exportable area again, as it seems to not have saved your exportable area selection properly.
Maybe remove the current exportable area and then make a new one. I've had this issue before aswell, just try again =)

Then (possibly, to be on the safe side) follow http://bg2redux.stud...ngLightmapFiles to remove the current lightmapping files and lightmap again. See http://bg2redux.stud...ialLightmapping too.

Thanks! Deleting all the lightmaps fixed the issues with the corner, but the weird black spots remain.
I've tried everything else you suggested but it still occurs.

Your lightmap doesnt actually cover all the triangles on the ground. Only way to fix it is to keep retrying or manually paint in colours in the lightmap texture.

Usually you can cover them up with props and whatnot. You could probably get away with just blurring the lightmap a bit if painting isn't your cup of tea.

I'm doing a large mod and i've not had to repaint my lightmap, had corruption in my lightmap noticably maybe twice now, removed the files, no issue after. Don't worry too much about it i'd say.
