If they take Hawke out of the game i'm going to make outlandish threats on the forums that I will never follow through on.
LOL, I hope they but both the Warden and Hawke in it.

I'd like to see both characters still be important. If Hawke became DA's Shepherd, I think I could live with that. I may be in the minority, though. (And I was one of the most strident complainers about the Warden not returning initially, at least among my circle of friends.)

I was quite disappointed that the Warden would not be returning in DA2. But I also quite like Hawke and would like to see Hawke return in DA3 (guess I might be in the same minority as UrsulaCousland).
I tend to get more invested in games that have a continuing protagonist. I care more about the character I'm playing.

Then, you choose who you're going to play as. Meaning before the game starts you're asked "Do you want to play as Hawke or the Warden?"
And, of course, the Warden would be fully voiced.
And Mr. Gaider, if you're still reading this. Please bring back Merrill. oh and if possible the Dwarf Noble should be voiced by whoever did that battle voice for him that sounded all rough and gravel-like, where he said "Perhaps we should take the time to review what we've learned" and "I swear when this is over..."
That was my favorite voice anyway.

The 'wise' voice. I had the same lines for my f!Cousland, but her voice was a lot girlier.

This thread has me worried. I was really hoping Hawke would be the DA3 main character, but DG's coments make that seem quite unlikely.
As I said earlier, whether we use Origins it would really depend on the story we chose to pursue. If Hawke was the main character, then we probably wouldn't need them-- there'd already be multiple entry points into the story. If he/she wasn't, then we could consider it.
Don't take my comments as being anything more than a suggestion that the future of the game, and its features, are set in stone. There will be plenty of time for people to hyperventilate when and if any changes are announced.
Personally, I'd like to see a new protagonist in DA3.
As an aside, I have no idea where exactly I heard this, but, is Hawke the descendant of a mage that helped King Calenhad unite Ferelden? If so, that might make for an interesting DA2 DLC.

The DN and the HN Origins are my favorite. Dalish Elf would've been too, had the battle voices not sounded.... weird. If I had Welsh back then, Dalish Elf would've definitely been among my favorites.
