By the same token, then, can you see why 'Is this a joke?' would be taken the way that numerous posters in this thread have taken it? When I see someone say 'Is this a joke?', my immediate belief (if it's not in any way an obvious joke post) is that they want to point out that they want to show that they disagree with the post, and consider it absurd that anyone would seriously have that opinion - without addressing any of the points specifically.
It's all about tone, on both ends. And since text is a notoriously difficult medium in which to convey subtleties of tone, you have to be aware of how you express yourself.

Sorry but exploding bodies is ridiculous and diminishes the integrity of this game.
If that's what most consolers want...I weep for society.

Yup, that's exactly what I thought when I saw the "Is this a joke?" responses. Real freakin' mature. A staple when it comes to some people who just want to bash the game.
The OP had some excellent points, most of which I agree with. If you want to disagree with him, fine. But with the 10s of posts, usually on the front page, from people bringing this game down and talking about how they're disappointed with it, I don't know why these same people feel the need to go into a post where someone is positive about the game and try to tear it down.
Just because your ice-cream sucks, doesn't mean you should go around pissing in other people's ice-cream.
Sad.

DA2 was way better than DAO, imo. I would even dare to say that when compared to all other BioWare games I've played (KOTOR, JE, ME1, DA:O, ME2, DA:A), DA2 was the best and most complex.
And honestly, I don't quite get all the negativism about DA2. Obviously, there's always something you could criticize about any given game (too much action, too hard combats, too easy combats, ... whatever), but things that DA2 gets the criticism are the same for other BW games. (I wouldn't call level design in DAO excelent, for example.)

Anyone else just stop reading after the "environments" section? I can understand a different opinion, but all I can think when I read that is "how much does Bioware pay you to post?"
