NPCs and templars gave cool and plausible comments about player char being a mage, somethingwhich was nearly completely missing in dao.
No, just no. Sorry.

Is more accurate than your comment specific one I quoted.

A bit more serious now..
And to say it was more complex and overall better than KOTOR, JE, ME1, DA:O, ME2, DA:A?
DA:A I can give, since a few things were used from there for DA:2. DA2 does not compare even close in scope, story, epic-ness and re-playablity as ME1,ME2, and DA:O
These "OMG AWESOME FANTASTIC IT GAVE ME AN ORGASM" posts are just as bad as all the "DA2 SUCKS DONKEY-GONADS! posts" (I do agree with the latter statement a bit)
Guess what I'm saying, both ends of the spectrum here are idiotic.

The environments, technically, *are* better in DA2. They just needed three to five times as many as they shipped.
The graphical effects were better, yes. The environments themselves were architecturally inferior, generally smaller and were in woefully short supply.

Trying too argue the fact that DA2 is good with some of these negative Nancys is like trying too argue with a deaf man.....DA2 was awesome it had it's flaws but some of you forget origins got a ton of hate about glitches and map recycling on that game aswell..... Tons of hate happened when Me2 came out, although the combat was improved alot so stop kidding yourselves! but atleast some of the fairly based and the baseless hatred on theses thread makes for good reading.
So if I'm reading your logic right, because ME2 and DA:O got a bit of flak when they came out, that means that any flak that DA2 gets is basically 'kidding ourselves'?
I would suggest you think through what you're saying before you put it down on the thread. All games get criticism at launch - that doesn't somehow mean that criticism of a new title is 'baseless'.

For me it's a fantastic game because of what's good about it. That doesn't mean I would give it a 10/10 or something equally daft, it had major flaws. I could give it a 7 or 8 out of 10 and still call it fantastic quite happily. I would usually qualify it with a 'but' in a review though I admit.

If you don't agree with Dubya75's views, then fine - everyone is entitled to their own opinion - but if you want to counter his points then posting the actual reasoning behind your thoughts usually helps.

That's mostly due to the fact that even a simple non-critical melee attack from a dagger can cause a body to instantly blow up into meat sauce.
Serious inquiry: Can't you toggle the gore factor in the options menu?

lets see...I enjoyed DA2 sooo much that just into the second act I pulled the disk and gave the whole game to my grandson....somehow that seemd more reasonable then shooting my PC. Hopefully anything down the line will be able to hold my interest.
Im seeing good things in The Witcher 2. Wait and see how that pans out. Looks pretty darned good!
I've already warned around 20 of my friends who game not to touch DA2. Not to mention anyone on my little 80+ Facebook friends list to avoid it like gential herpes.

@JeagerBane, I'm not going too argue with a blind or deaf man, witch you appear too be. I said "based" and baseless hate shooting towards this game are fun too read. I'm saying me2 was a amazing game and if I recall it got tons of hate and I also remember all the complaints about origins and ESPECIALLY awakening what I'm saying is, yea DA2 isn't perfect but it's still a good game and worth playing or atleast a rental. My final advice is tred carefully young jeagarbane no path is darker when your eyes are shut. Peace!!
Oh, how original. I challenge your point, and that makes me blind and deaf. Where have I heard that old chestnut before?

Seriously? If you're going to bash the game and be hateful, do it in your thread, not this one.

You're so cruel. I'm sure that kid did nothing to deserve that. Is it like The Ring? Do you need to pass it off to someone else to play so you rid yourself of the curse?

However some of the others make some good points well, like Dragoonlordz's comic, that points out that the templars are as oblivious to u being a mage with exeption of the Knight-commander...
that really sucks..
