Funny, I think these forums make me hate "hardcore PC RPG gamers" more. It's a pretty vicious cycle, too.
Seriously though, I can love DA2 without thinking it's a perfect game. I can also like RPGs while disliking how the combat was ported to consoles in Origins, thinking that the plot of The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion was terrible, enjoying Japanese RPGs which regularly feature characters you can't dress up and a main voiced character with a personality you DON'T get to choose, etc. I'm not a "Biodrone" nor do I like the game just because it has a Bioware logo slapped onto the box, I'm a person that happens to have somewhat different tastes than you. It doesn't make me less of an RPG fan, and it's certainly not your place--or any other poster here--to decide that.
The more you guys demonize and belittle the other side of your arguments, the more you come off as elitist jerks. Now if you want to go huddle together in your secret club's treehouse with a painted sign hanging on the front saying "Only oldschool PC gamers that hate DA2 allowed" I guess you can go right ahead, but I'd rather spend my time hunting for more RPGs I'd like to play, or plan out my next playthroughs in the games I already own.
QFTW. Excellent.

I played Mass Effect nearly two years ago. Haven't really touched it since. I simply downloaded someone else's save file for ME2. I have played ME2 twice, but the playthroughs were nearly a year apart. I replay FEAR every year, during Halloween. Same for Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory. I also have replayed Dragon Age Origins once since I beat during Christmas of 2009.
And of course, there are the mounds of games I have yet to finish.

My second playthrough was weird - I'd completed a good chunk of the main plot and had a bunch of side quests to hand in. When I went to cash in the last of the Herbalists' tasks the finale triggered, so I missed probably 15 hours of quests for act 3. Still fun though.

Easy, you just don't lead them that much... I mean just click on 'New Game' instead of 'Resume'.
Is that a Full Metal Jacket reference?
Anyway, I'm on my second playthrough and its going okay. Ive picked up a few sidequests that I completely missed during my first run.

wth???? what??? it was one of the best games ever but you feel like you wasted your money? If this is your only game you've ever played I can see this making sense maybe.

this is a pretty stupid post. youre complaining that you only got 31 hours of gameplay out of a game?
When you have games like Oblivion or Fallout, which have numerous amounts of DLC as well, they can easily break the 200hrs market road of gameplay.
A game like that, is worth 60 dollars. Especially in a RPG genre.
A game with 30hrs of gameplay, maybe 40. And also regarding the fact that we got half a game and not a full game. At least make us pay 35 for DA2.

Utter bollocks. Oblivion had so many flaws it wasn't funny. I loved the game first play through and yea I spent hours upon hours on it. And indeed I hold enough warmth in my heart towards it that I'll autobuy Skyrim. But it is not some perfect flawless game.
Just because you only breezed through DA2 on casual (or not explore) doesn't mean everyone is going to be half arsed and not try everything this game has to offer. It's like someone buying a meal, eating half of it, leaving and then complaining that you only got half a dinner.
Wait for the mod community to get going and DLC to be released, then you can compare to Oblivion.

Never when I spoke did I say Oblivion was perfect. Only giving an example of a game I felt was worth my sixty dollars. Oblivion had its flaws. All games do.
But I think 200hrs+ is worth 60 dollars.
More than I think 30hrs+ is worth a 60 dollar game.
30hrs is to me about 40
I only spoke of price. Don't put your perception to my words and what I mean. I wasn't hailing Oblivion as an all of god game.
Only what I think whats worth what.

??? You love the game but can't replay it again, and now your annoyed that it was only 31 hours? Compared to Origins, thats fair, but imagine how i felt when i finished $100(AU) Dead Space 2 for only 9 hours.
Anyway, my question is how could anyone possibly play DA2 again, because it is such a chore to even finish the first time. DA2 is a big disappointment.
