Also, the issue is apparently a symptom of another bug, one that's also affecting the Maker's Sigh and causing it to break passives.

If you play on PC you can just open up the save editor and re-adjust your speed back to normal. This bug also occurs if you have friendly with Sebastian but the same fix works for that bug as well. If you play on console you are SOL.
What is "normal"? I play on PC and want to make sure it hasn't affected me , but don't want to make myself faster than intended either.

Normal attack speed without any modifiers is "0.0". If you have the Izy/Seb bug the values should be in the negatives. The number for attack speed and damage resistance should be 42 and 32 respectively.

I think the wiki says that if you remove Isabella from your party using the main screen(like when you leave your house) the bug won't happen.Has anybody tried this.I would really like to use Isabella this time around.
The Bug happens when Isabella is automatically forced out of your party like when you go to the Qunari compound or travel to your house while she's in your party. There are a few other areas where she gets the autoboot too but those are the 2 big ones. In addition to this loading any save game that ISNT in daytime Kirkwall or a friends house can also cause you to get the bug.
Just getting the bug doesn't negatively impact your game though. Once you have the bug the only time it will subract from your base attack speed is if you load a game without Isabella in the party. If you load a save game with the bug affecting you and shes in the party nothing bad will happen.
To check if you have the bug just go to Merrill's house, remove her from your party and check your spells/telents window. If you see her buff still there down in the bottom right corner next to the dog icon you have the bug. From then on just make sure to only load saved games where shes in your party and you'll be fine. Alternatively you can use a save game editor and adjust it from there.

The author of the save editor program details on his site how to save your console save to a thumb drive in order to back up and edit your save. You are not, in fact, SOL playing on console.
Would it be possible to provide a link to the site?
I'm playing on PS3 and this bug is annoying to say the least.
Thanks!

So far, I've only heard people doing it on Xbox 360 saves. I think the PS3 save files are encrypted

1. Get friendship fix from http://www.dragonage...le.php?id=2299. Unzip and copy the file into the Dragon Age 2 override folder.
2. Get Dragon Age 2 save game editor from http://social.biowar...ct/1936/#files. (Get the gff4 editor). Edit a saved game. Look under your main character for an animation speed modifier entry. Mine was -15% when I started to feel slow. Changed it to 0%.
3. Avoid temptation to boost your stats with the savegame editor!
I can provide more details if you need help, but I have been avoiding the forums until I finish my first playthrough.
