Who is the most boring/stupid/forgettable character in ME universe?

I didn't like Samara. There was no personality behind her. And I felt BioWare tried too hard to make Liara adorable.

As for her being 'forced' into being adorable, I'd go as far as saying that Therum and Liara as they were should've been cut: the planet itself was only a part of what it was supposed to be, Caleston, and didn't add anything valuable to the story. Liara herself, and I regretfully say this, doesn't either in the first game: she is Benezia's daughter, and that's pretty much it aside from her being an asari and triggering a vision once in a while. Now, looking at Shiala, we see a character with pretty much the initial same role, but implemented into the story in a way that's infinitely more elegant.
Yeah, if I could go back in time, I'd advice the team to scrap Caleston/Therum as a whole and combine the Benezia's follower/Benezia's daughter characters they'd have planned. So far for one of my rare few "I'd do this different than BioWare did" posts. On the upside, I do like what the character development they've given Liara over the course of the series, even if it seems to imply she'll be unplayable in ME3.

Samara. She is just bland. No interesting stories to tell.
Ah, opinions and what-have-you. Understood. Backing away now.

Dramtically it would have been better if Liara had been in Shiala's place. The fact that Benezia didn't just give a servant to the Thorian, but her own freaking daughter. It would have made Benezia more villianous and made the confrontation on Novaria more meaningful if Liara was there.
Boring: It's a tie between Kaiden and Jacob. Bioware seems to get the female defaults right (Making Ash a racist and Miranda a Newtype), but the male's just seem so boring and bland, and honestly there is no reason for them to be. We don't need a down to earth squadmate to balance out the cast, we have NPC's for that, and Shepard is basically the voice of reason usually. I thought they would be good and spice up Jacob a little, I honestly was waiting for the revelation that he was actually infiltrating Cerberus and was still a Corsair. But whatever... least he didn't have Carth Onasi's massive side burns.
Stupid: Gatatog Uvenk. Besides being a freaking idiot/bigot/moron/meat, the fact that he had the freaking voice talent of Michael Dorn, and they waste him on a SINGLE mission boss? Stupid....stupid stupid...well at least Adam Baldwin is still alive in my game.
Forgettable: None of them are forgettable really, but there are some I would like to forget. Mainly the Turian Councilor.

People don't "hate" Jacob, it's just the fact that he's the sole normal guy in a band of whackos and he sticks out like a sore thumb because of it. He's really only bland at worst.

No. She is just uninteresting. I suppose she does have some complexity, but the way she is presented she isn't very entertaining to watch or listen to. Morinth is a bad person, but she's fun to watch.

you know whom I find boring?
legion. that's right. legion.
P.S. people who find Kaidan useless as a squad mate should trying speccing him properly, pair him up with Liara and then sit back and watch things fly.

No arguments there--Morinth's a blast, especially here. I just... really like something about Samara... and it's not the boobies.Saphra Deden wrote...

I mean he has less dialogue than in ME1... It's good dialogue, and I like him, but geez. I think it's a tie with Jacob for actual # of conversations.
Stupid? Shepard for needing a red or blue bar to talk to people effectively.
Forgettable? I forgot.

That's exactly why I don't like him. You can't have a normal dialog with him on your Femshep... it's... ugh... so forced. That really made my interest wane.Annie_Dear wrote...

The most stupid I'd have to say is Tali even though I like her character, she is so obsessed about the Geth being evil that she cannot see straight. Newsflash girl, machines aren't evil - they follow programming and the current Geth (not the heretics) are open to peace but they do not see it as a possibility for as long as the Quarians want war.
The most forgettable? Well I tend to forget.

I'm surprised people find Jacob bland. He certainly manages to rub me the wrong way (sounds pissy, never smiles, and he's supposed to be the helpful one), but I can't really blame him. I would probably sound pissy and try to avoid smiling while my commanding officer was humping my leg too. In any case, it makes him memorable. His romance steps it up further and makes him VERY memorable (yeah, not in a good way). Most importantly, his personality is one of few I feel I haven't met a million times before in movies/games.
Shepard humps his leg? O.o I just really don't like Jacob because he doesn't even try to be interesting, he just completely avoids answering any questions or telling you anything meaningful about himself. It's like he actually tries to be uninteresting. I liked him during the first mission and first few hours when he was the only one not lying to me, but then he just got more and more bland...like the writers just thought "Ok so what do we do with him now?"

It's nice having a pre-service history and even a sort of hook into explaining why exactly Cmdr. Shephard is a bad ass, but in terms of actual character growth, it took until Shadow Broker for our hero to somewhat grow an inch in terms of development, and in the game(s) there isn't that much of a hook to your character's background, and it seems like no one is really all that interested in it (I mean, other than Jenkin's and potentially Ashley/Kaiden)
Without getting too in-depth about the nature of a RPG or whatever (heh, there's probably a pun in there somewhere), I feel as if Cmdr. Shep is very flat, I feel more as if I'm playing an avatar or something rather than a role, if that makes any sense whatsoever.
