In that vein i'm gonna vote for the guy in the Lazarus base who just stands there calling out Shep's name as an Ymir riddles him with high caliber cannon rounds. This guy is so dense he doesn't even cringe until the Ymir whacks him with a HE rocket.
^Now I'm gonna go see a specialist regarding the aneurysm I just gave myself remembering that guy.

I would explain why I hate Miranda and Ashley...but, someone, and I can't remember who, explained it beautifully about their distaste in Miranda.
You know what, this is gonna get my flamed, but I have to say it. I took it as a REAL offense that Miranda had that body, and me being a black female Shepard (This is a whole nother topic as to why the female Shepard can't have a MORE AWESOME body than Miranda no matter what race she is, but I digress...), I hate that BW TRIED to give her a booty when the booty wasn't shaped right! When BW could have given the general female Shepard the better body. Especially, since I was a black female Shepard, shoot, I could have booty shaked Miranda into the ground! Perfect, my beautiful booty. *mumbles*
This female spent most of the game until I decided, reluctantly, to help her with her sister, to be a know-it-all, to speak to me as if I was beneath her, to tell me what I can and cannot do, and then explains to me that she was made to be "perfect", which I find to be a joke, and then have the unmitigated gal to ask me to help her when he booty is unevenly made, which distracted me the whole time! I can't shoot like I want to when her lopsided butt was in my face half the time! I digress again...
But, on a serious note: So, that no one takes this the wrong way (They might anyway. lol! But, who cares.) Race had nothing to do with it, I just hated that Miranda was supposedly to be made perfect phyiscially and the general female Shepard was not. But all in all, Miranda's character reminded me of the prissy uptight female, who came in all shades, that acted like they were the top queens of the world. I can't stand people like that and Miranda was the poster girl for them all. I hated her character, I hated her personality and Ashley, as much as I hated her, would have been more tolerable to be around than Miranda.

I can't really give an opinion on Jacob, since I couldn't stand how FemShep talked to him. I've never gotten past the 2nd conversation..

Squad member-wise, I'd say Samara is teh most forgetable. Her story is interesting,but for some reaosn, I never get into her character. That, and I've never romanced her. I'll try one of these days, even though I know nothing happens.

Boring: Jacob. I like him just fine, but his lack of distinctive qualities make me feel like I wouldn't miss much if I just left him in the armory game. Thus, I do.
Stupid: Miranda. I try to get into this character. I really do. But every time I try and do a playthrough with Miranda I feel like I'm just running around with over-sexualized, accented super-spy sidekick #61278. Yes, she's hot, I admit it, and the backstory is kinda interesting, but the character overall feels like Bioware wanted all the emphasis on how hot she was, rather than building some uniqueness into her character archetype.
Forgettable: Noone comes to mind.

Jacob is by far the worst character ever. What's worse is they had to stick him in almost every dialog so racists wouldn't complain.
He's like a Kaiden that is forced into your face every mission.

I have to say, I thought the same thing at first too.
But once I played the game a few times and specially when I read the Shadow Broker files, I began to feel that Miri is one of the deeper characters in the game. Yes she's hot. But she is also insecure and places an incredible amount of stress on herself because she needs to be perfect. She rocketed up to my second favorite character in Mass Effect when she has that discussion with Shep and she pretty much admits she's jealous of him. It was even better when Shep rengade kisses her. She doesn't know how to react. It shows that she may be smoking hot, but she is far from "perfect".
On topic:
Boring: Kaiden. Never got interested in the character.
Stupid: Honestly, Grunt. I never understood why they would replace one bad ass Krogan with another bad ass Krogan. Particularly when Wrex was as popular as he was. I like Grunt, I just don't think he was necessary.
Forgettable: None really.

The very fact you can't read the thread title and determine that "forgettable" is just one possible variable (you can also pick boring and stupid characters) adds weight to the fact that when you say "student" you mean "wannabe".
